My first time coming here. I ordered the pastrami Reuben. For almost 11 dollars, it's a disappointingly small sandwich. The flavors were good, but the sandwich was in no way filling.

Was in the area and wanted a solid sandwich and this place delivered. So many Sandwiches to choose from. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone craving an actual sandwich and not the typical nation chains that have sandwiches comprised mostly of bread and questionable ingredients. I'll be back for sure.

Small sandwich right by mission beach. I love their tuna melt and I add avocado. Their chalk board menu can be a little hard to read but they can give u recommendations. They also have great fresh salads. Def recommend!

This is my favorite sandwich shop around Clairemont. The Bacon Clubhouse Melt is my favorite, very well balanced. Spicy Julio is also excellent.

These were the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. I got the cali sandwich and the chicken pesto sandwich. Both hit the spot! Excellent service too (we sat outside and the sandwiches were even brought to us!) Generous portions too!

Had the BLT. So good. Stopped in on a whim while the dog was getting a bath and am thrilled I did!

My friend that had been going here as a kid took me to this place for some sandwiches. Chill atmosphere, friendly staff, and the sandwiches were freshly made! I can't believe this place was here the whole time because I used to live in Clairemont for 3 years. Anyway, this place definitely has authentic fresh sandwiches!!

We have always been big fans of this place, until just now. We ordered the Saigon Grinder and some Mac Salad. We had a couple of bites each and I bit into a food tie, one of the metal ones coated in plastic. Attached is the picture. Not sure how that even got placed in the sandwich. We tossed the food as we were pretty disgusted by it.

Awesome food. Chill vibe. Eat ya food outside and enjoy! Definitely an establishment that deserves attention!

So expensive and such cheap ingredients / portions -- step up that game with in-house seasoning yo -- sugar and salt only goes so far

We have been driving by this place for years but never stopped until today. Now I'm mad we took this long to try it because both of our sandwiches were incredible! The bread was great and the ingredients were fresh. We will be back soon!

Every time I am in the area I stop at sandwich Emporium. The sandwiches are fresh and large portions. I always like to try a new kind each time I visit. I would highly recommend making a trip over there. You won't be disappointed. The only thing I don't like is their soda fountain doesn't work...they only sell can sodas.

Was staying with a friend nearby for two days and found this place within walking distance. Day 1 I tried the Saigon grinder and it was super tasty and fresh. I liked the place so much that I went for lunch on Day 2! Got the tuna melt, also super tasty. Really affordable prices for CA, you're getting a lot of food for the price. Seriously love small businesses like this!

Such a great small business that cares about customer service. We tried the Spicy Juan and the California sandwich. Freaking awesome! Super dialed back due to Covid, you order and then take the sandwich to go. It's a ton of sandwich for the price. Way more value than the big chain sandwich shops. I was shocked at the size and amount of ingredients! And the price is much lower than the big chains that want to charge extra for additional toppings. It's off the beaten path and in a dated strip mall but it is totally worth the visit! Lots of parking with normal size spots so being your vans and trucks while still being able to park. Grab a sandwich and take the short trip to the bay to enjoy amazing food right on the sand!

Not gonna lie. The melanin deprived crowd that flocks to the sandwich emporium should have made me cautious. Food came out quick and service counter was courteous. Location was nice with plenty of parking with some outdoor seating. The food itself did leave a lot to be desired. Very heavy handed flavors and serving style. Cheese in grotesque amounts, sausage was cold, egg over cooked, Bun was not toasted, avocado portion was close to the amount that makes you gag. IYKYK...
