I liked the food. It was pretty standard for me. But the portions were great for the price!

My best Wednesday afternoon decision was ordering Sang Dao Thai for delivery! I ordered the Drunken Noodles (with chicken & hot spice level). Perfect amount of spice for me - enough to open my sinuses, but not difficult to endure. This dish is so savory, has a comforting texture, & a good amount of vegetables without going overboard. It was also nice to try my bf's entrée: stir fry pad pet. We both found the coconut curry to be delectable & he usually dislikes coconut. Enough food to save half for later, but if you're a big eater, you will be quite full. Satiated. Our take-out containers were heavy & FULL. We knew we were getting a good value meal... something hard to come by in San Diego these days. An affordable, hearty meal with flavor is the new "hidden gem" here.

Best Thai food! A must if you're in San Diego. Authentic Thai like what you'll find at the temple or street if Thailand. The jerky and sticky rice, papaya salad, beef salad, and Thai tea were delicious!

This is my favorite green curry place but some dishes like pad thai taste too sweet. Their prices are pretty affordable as well.

Honestly 5 stars for everything and I'm not exaggerating. The service is very kind and friendly, due to the nature of the restaurant being a local family ran business. Food is delicious and filling, definitely sharable portions. Our favorites include the red curry catfish and papaya salad. Seating in the restaurant is suitable for any size party, and their decor is cozy. I've mainly ordered to go, and the food is always hot, fresh, and large enough for leftovers. Highly recommend!

My go to spot for the Laos style papaya salad. if you like a papaya salad with a lot of crap paste, this place will hit the spot. I don't know what to say.

I was there for take-out twice, so I have more experience w the service and food. About the food, it's fantastic. I felt like Laoatian has a ton of similarities with Thai. But even the, this was some of the best I've had, even in Thailand. I'm sure I picked the wrong places.

Best Lao food in SD. If you're asian and you like Lao food, you know it's good here. The larb, stir-fried dishes are delicious.

Everything on the menu is so heart warming and hit the spot everytime. I love their beef intestine soup along with their Lao papaya salad, chicken Panang, and chicken larb. It's so much better than most Thai restaurants I have tried in SD and their portions are much bigger.

This was my first experience having Thai food, and I was not disappointed. I was greeted at entry and seated immediately. The staff was kind and friendly, and happy to answer any questions. The food was amazing and I will be back for more. They offer vegetarian, vegan, and healthy options; everything is served in large portions and at affordable prices.

Our server was clearly a professional, a man who knows what he likes, and someone who loves showing others exactly what those things are. He was ready with detailed comparisons between dishes, knew their long menu's availability by memory, and was efficient and suave. All this at a bad restaurant would be okay but not a redeeming quality; fortunately, the food was exceptional, and I loved their golden tofu and the massaman curry with tofu. I was sad when it ended but happy that I got to eat here.

Had the best drunken noodles here. Limited seating here so make sure you show up before lunch rush.

Incredible food. We just got the shrimp spring rolls, pad Thai, and drunken noodles all for under $40 and all three dishes were excellent. The drunk noodles had a bit of heat to them and I have never had such fresh spring rolls. The peanut sauce that came with them was also the perfect level of sweetness. We will have no problem getting 4 meals out of this and would 100% recommend
