This coffee shop is super cute and apparently also offers wine/beer. The food options are delicious and coffee is strong. My only complaint is that the only milk alternative is oat, and oat milk spikes glucose levels. So those who have to watch our sugar intake are SOL. But otherwise it's good! People were super friendly and helpful!

This place has great coffee, really good bagel sandwiches, and a great playlist. It can get crowded at times but they're always fast.

One of our favorite coffee shops in San Diego. Service is always great and staff is friendly. Really good coffee, creative seasonal drinks, and yummy sandwiches and pastries (try the turkey hoagie!). Highly recommend!

The vibe, the people that run the shop and DON'T GET ME STARTED ON THE COFFEE!!!!!! I get the Vietnamese iced coffee and the consistency is ...delicious!!! They also have a breakfast burrito with hash browns...yes hash browns (weekends only)

I just went there to pick up a couple of coffee's for me and the wife. We both got a single sip and had to spit that out. We don't know what was in the cup but it was by far the worst thing either of us had ever tasted. I would rather have my tongue branded with a hot iron than have the garbage in my mouth ever again. Stay far away.

Scrimshaws have a cool kid vibe. I love the diversity here - both with the staff and patrons. They have indoor and outdoor seating, plus a small parking lot around back. I love their bagel sandwiches. The veggie is my favorite, and then the lox and the one with cream cheese with apples. I had to remove one star because we ordered two cappuccinos ($5.50/each), which came out in teeeeeeny tiny cups. I wish I had taken a photo. I've had coffee to stay here before, and they came out in normal-sized mugs. I'm not sure what was going on, but 4-5 sips later, and the coffee was gone. Also, while the sandwiches are delicious, they're hard to eat and messy. I think it's how they're assembled, and their napkins are super thin and small. Not well suited for cream cheese bagels. However, even if all they did was replace the napkins, it would be a win but overall, I dig this place!

I wish I lived in San Diego so that I could go here more often. It is an adorable little coffee shop where we stopped for coffee in the morning on our trip. We got the winter special lattes. The orange pistachio was absolutely mind blowing. I also loved the fig and cardamom. Delish! We got a bagel with spread which hit the spot. They also have cold brew and alcohol options and lots of little tables. It's legit the perfect spot to go, get some work done, and get something delectable while you do it. The server was also kind, super helpful, and great.

Very good cold brew and enjoy the bagel sandwich called the Pink Lady. Always very kind employees and consistent flavors.

I recently had the opportunity to try Scrimshaw Coffee's cappuccino with their signature coffee art and I must say, I was blown away. First off, the cappuccino itself was perfectly balanced and had a rich, creamy texture. The espresso was full-bodied and had a bold flavor that was not too bitter. The steamed milk was velvety smooth and added a perfect touch of sweetness to the drink. But what really caught my attention was the beautiful coffee art on top of the cappuccino. The barista had created a stunning design of a flower, using the foam and espresso. It was almost too beautiful to drink! Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, I don't drink coffee often but when I do I know where to go!

This is my 2nd time here. First time was to pick up an iced latte and the apple bagel before work, super good and quick service. Second time I brought my cousin here and she really enjoyed it, I met her while she had a break inbetween classes at sdsu and she liked the fact that it was not too far from school (10mins away) and nice to have a coffee shop near by to study inbetween classes. Definitely a place to study as a lot of people were, it's super chill and quiet and the place is very nice and clean with lots of seating inside and out. Only downside is street parking which can be hard to find!

I like the vibe of this place. Definitely seems like a more neighborhood-y kind of place. A decent amt of both indoor and outdoor seating and it was packed on a Saturday around 2. They focus on mostly coffee but do offer wine (and even a wine club!). I got an Americano since I wanted something that wasn't too heavy. Americano was decent. Pretty smooth albeit nothing standout in terms of flavor. They seem to have some pretty cool house seasonal drinks with housemade ingredients. Would probably try one of those the next time.

Stopped in here Sunday afternoon after the San Diego Lunar Festival for a couple of Vietnamese coffees (Happy Year of the Dragon by the way :)). This is my first time to get coffee in the area. This South Park area is a highly dense neighborhood so I wasn't sure how it would be to get parking to grab coffee but we were lucky and we found a spot right away on the street. Immediately as I walked up, I noticed there was a variety of people hanging out outside as well as hanging inside. This is always a good sign that you're about to get a good cup of coffee. We walked up to the counter where they have a full menu. I noticed they also serve wine. Just FYI for wine lovers we didn't feel rushed at all which was nice. Gave us time to review all the drinks on the menu although we knew what we were going to order lol it's always nice to not feel pressured to rush when you're just looking over a menu. We ordered two iced Vietnamese coffees and oh my gosh they were delectable. This was actually my first time having a Vietnamese coffee after my boyfriend suggested it and I am so glad I did. If you love, strong coffee and don't mind the heaviness of the creams, this is a must try. I will add. They also had some really cute merchandise in the front of the store one thing in particular was a cute little keychain that said "field trip". We sat outside on the patio and faces the main street, which makes for good background noise and people watching. It is a small patio, but it was big enough for a few different groups of people. I absolutely recommend stopping in there if you're in the area.
