AMAZING SCHOOL! I love that SDSU offers Open University, which lets the public take graduate classes without applying to a program formally. The campus is beautiful especially with sunsets. There's a Starbucks in the Student Union. Parking is tough though, but the Trader Joe's by campus is also really convenient.

Dope I don't go here but the people here are weird Definitely a cult vibe watching all of them getting into buses with their rumps hanging out in matching denim suits. The gym is nice in the summer. But too crowed when the students come back Those are probably the people getting into the buses so I don't despise them. The only other bad thing is the student housing strip outside the gym. Sometimes when I'm leaving the gym the scream at me saying "help!" But when I respond they call me a faint little twig Another bonus is that after a crazy Friday or Saturday night you can find free items around campus such as sunglasses are Hydro flasks that you can sell on marketplace later I'd recommend coming here but I don't know if I'd recommend coming here for the academics since I don't participate

Great we beat their football team! ... and the scenery was amazing; contemporary and a great place for an education!

Fall 2023. I am a straight A transfer student was made to go to New Student Orientation to pick up ID card $25 and registered for classes. Price $325 for New Student Orientation a choice of one vegetable patty hamburger or regular hamburger patty, a can water, and, cookie. The event was a wase of time and money. Except it allowed me to drop out and not go to State University at all. I learned at this event that you cannot register for anything that is not in your major. I learned the gym was always crowed, Greek life ruled, more woman than men. I just paid for my New Student Orientation online and was changed a $10 fee to use a credit card they don't miss an opportunity to make money off the students. I am from Mesa Community College and transfer students of my kind even though im a 4.0 are given the last registration opportunities. This is well known watch YouTube. The University is not very culturally diverse. A lot of the people say they are surprised its not closer to the Beach. Horrible student and customer service.

If you want to learn about interior design, do not attend this school. You will have to self-teach; the professor will not teach you any program and will rather direct you to YouTube. And because most of their applications are outdated, such as Sketchup, when you graduate, all of the firms will be asking Revit, making what you developed less useless . As someone who participated in a mentorship, internship, and attended interior design student events, I can tell you that if you don't have connections, waste your time. The only thing I learned was to accept constructive criticism for my work since they will ruin your designs on critique day. Screw the art department. I got hired as a design consultant and my boss pretty much laughed at anyone that attended this school for this degree and basically told me if I wanted to learn anything about interior design that you had to go to the Design Institute in San Diego where they teach you three years of autocad, lighting and everything you need to know. I have screenshots of me begging with them for months to get them to put me in upper division classes because they screwed up. I had to contact the dean, the art department, the office of registar and professor directly. We have the ugliest department nestled in the corner, and no one takes you seriously and look at you like an art major, and never ever ever declare yourself an architect because you will humiliate yourself. They claim to be a Latinx and varied community, but they never speak up about race incidents. you will be notified every month of some type of criminal assault/battery charge . The football players are still being investigated for ra**.

SDSU's version is a reasonable faculty dining room with decent food. Relaxed, and not stuffy like the UCSD version, but not as good as the USD faculty club.

Called to ask a simple question and received very rude feedback from the receptionist at the admissions office. She was unhelpful, gave very short responses having nothing to do with the question, then preceded to hang up on me mid sentence.

Today they decided to call me instead of text me or email me. I assume the threats about next semester were similar, though it's hard to tell since the person that called had such a thick accent that pretty much all I got from her was SDSU and overdue fees... What a joke of an institution.

A university that is disrespectful to disabled veterans and Northern-Mediterranean Americans and rewards unprofessionalism and bullying. I was a disabled Afghanistan Marine and a graduate student being demeaned by a snot-nosed brat who was on a full-ride for being the worst writer on the planet. The graduate student that was bullying me wrote disrespectful stories. He tried to disparage a Vietnam veteran by pretending the Vietnam veteran thought a movie being filmed was real, and broke onto the set somehow (because in the real world all sets are closed and locked off. The veteran would not have even been able to see or access the scene being shot, this "graduate student" was writing a realist story with no clue about reality and had only seen Hollywood depictions of veterans. He was also given a full-ride to UNLV's 3-year film program, so you can see how bright the universities are), and then once on the set the veteran injured people with prop guns or maybe he carried his own gun. The setup for the story was the Vietnam veteran had behaved cowardly in the war and was now trying to redeem himself by being a hero because he thought the robbery scene being filmed was real-life. If you write a realist story, then you have to follow the real-world's rules. Movie sets are closed. The entire story was built on a false premise and contained a false perspective about war veterans. It has been over three-years since I read that disparaging story so some details like what happened once the veteran broke onto the set may be a bit off, but nonetheless, it was a disrespectful story written by a disrespectful individual. And the graduate student was such a coward, his girlfriend had to chime in too with the bullying. I received a barrage of emails from the boyfriend and girlfriend over my school email, personal email, and Facebook. It was a disgusting display on their part. The graduate student was offensive and disrespectful and has no clue about service to country. Neither did his girlfriend. The one star for this university is because they allowed this kind of behavior toward disabled veterans to happen with zero consequences, and the universities allow this kind of disparagement to our service members who have died for their freedoms. These students were also rewarded by both universities, while I was lucky to finish my writing program and dropped all further pursuits in the academic sphere.

Need help with anything financial aid or student account services related? Well get ready to wait around 3 - 5 hours. All of the employee/students at the financial aid office have no idea what they are doing. Don't trust anything they tell you. Make sure to record the zoom meetings for future reference because they will tell you one thing and days later they will deny everything. 5 weeks into the semester I STILL HAVEN'T been notified that my financial aid wasn't approved I'm forced to pay out of pocket. Terrible Terrible service!!!!
