Serpentine cider makes the absolute best cider I've ever had. Sean, the owner, has a magic touch. The ciders are perfectly dry and low sugar but super flavorful. My favorite is their golden apple. It literally tastes like champagne. Sean makes a poached pear cider in the fall that is delicious as well. I love this place and will keep coming back. Smokin Joe's BBQ is good but they need to bring back their burgers and BBQ tacos. Those were delicious. Try serpentine if you're looking for drinks in either the Miramar or university heights area. You won't be disappointed and their flavor variety is way better than the breweries in the area that only release new ipas all the time. I will keep coming back to serpentine.

Came here on a Sunday for lunch because I was craving bbq ribs and corn bread. Found out that it shares a space with a cider place and a mead place. The cider was very interesting, we had a flight of 3. The strawberry black pepper was the best.

Great place to catch up with friends while drinking mead and cider. I love that you can easily order BBQ, Lost Cause, and Serpentine along the long bar. Fries were $8 full pour $10

I absolutely love Serpentine Cider. This location also has BBQ and mead. While I haven't tried the BBQ yet, I have tried the mead and it's great as well.I love that the cider has both traditional and experimental flavors and none of the cider has added sugar. They even have nom alcoholic options as well. I highly recommend stopping by. Also dogs are welcome!

Its slightly confusing when looking on maps but there are 3 businesses at this location, Smoking Js, Lost cause Meadery and Serpentine Cider. Serpentine cider has an awesome selection of mostly dry ciders. Food is provided by SmokingJs. The cidery has ample indoor and outdoor seating with access to board games. Excellent spot for groups to hang out in. Plently of parking is available as well.

I had the pleasure of spending a few hours here today. I was on a trip to San Diego, but finished my business and wanted somewhere to chill for awhile. This was the perfect location. The staff was friendly, the food enjoyable, and best of all the ciders were excellent. The ciders are EXTREMELY flavorful and not sweet.The short of it - These ciders are definitely some of the best ciders I've ever had and I look forward to coming back on my next trip to San Diego. Highly recommended.Apple - Solid apple cider. Not much more to be said.Strawberry Black Pepper - This was excellent paired with the BBQ. You can definitely taste the black pepperBerries & Coffee - What a surprise! Incredible coffee aroma and taste. Would not recommend with the BBQ, but very pleasant by itself.Raspberry and Blackberry - This was fine, definitely not my favorite out of the five I tasted, but still solidGinger - OUTSTANDING. Definitely the best I tried. On initial sip it's almost like drinking a ginger ale.
