Family of 3. Order was wrong and we sent it back. It was wrong again on the second try. I ended up giving my kids my food so that we could leave. Ambiance is not family friendly. More of a place for a date night.
Carne asada fries smelled so bad and tasted disgusting. I purchased 4 boxes to go which was $90.51 and left a tip just because I'm a tip topper. I was plan on coming back tonight because I didn't see but a couple of customers and they had big enough tables for family and a bar with bottles for sale but now that I know they sell old food I'll never come back. That food smelled so rotten my son took the garbage out immediately from the smell.
We took our kids here around 6-7pm. I suspect that going earlier in the evening helps with the restaurant not being crowded. We were able to get a table right away. The drinks... the coconut margarita is way too sweet to be called a margarita. The horchata martini is sweet but more manageable. The organic margarita is the "house" margarita. It's fair, but not exceptional. This location doesn't have the full selection of tequilas that the Coronado location has. They offer 2oz pours of the few tequilas they offer. The food is decent-good. The AL pastor tacos are very good. All in all, it's worth trying this restaurant.

This Serrano's Street Tacos & Bar restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel we were staying at for the weekend and we were very happy we did. It was literally at the back of Andaz Hotel in the Gas Lamp District and it was as authentic as can be! We had amazing margaritas and tacos "tasting" where we were able to taste all flavors of tacos. Needless to say, their Don Julio ,margaritas along with their authentic tacos were a hit. Ambiance was really nice and clean. Service was just perfect. Overall, it was great.
Kid-friendliness: This is more of a bar scene, so I don’t think this is good for a kid at dinner time but for lunch it would be okay.

Stopped here for a quick bite & ended up with the barria taco (so delicious) and the spicy cucumber margarita. The margarita was strong & not too spicy. I would go back just to get the barria taco, the sauce was one of the better ones i’ve had. The meal also came with 3 salsas which were perfect compliment for our tacos. The team of waitresses, servers & bussers only added to our experience. They were all lovely to interact with and the service was timely.

I absolutely loved the asada tacos, grilled chicken tacos, and their chips and salsa. The drinks were good too! It's a bit pricey, but well worth it in my opinion. I ate there twice in the 5 days I was visiting San Diego.

Good food, not so good service. Loud music, difficult to have a conversation in this place, even though the place wasn't packed. Staff doesn't know how to provide separate checks for parties that require it. Food took a while, that's ok when it's good, and it was, but simple things like my water I had to ask multiple times and so did my colleagues. Good food but maybe not worth the nuisance of the staff. I won't be back.
We used to go to the Brigantine restaurant in Coronado for lunch on Taco Tuesdays until they tripled the price of their Tacos. A friend recommended Serranos's on Orange Avenue and we ordered four tacos for the same price of two at the Brigantine. The choice of tacos (fish, carne asada, birria, al pastor, and carnitas) was greater and, after trying four of the six, we found them authentic and delicious. They were also served with three tasty sauces. The quality of the food, the ambiance, the price. and the service provided by our friendly and attentive waiter, Alan, were all first class and five stars!
My fiance and I stumbled across this place around lunch time and it's a great spontaneous decision! We ordered grilled octopus, ceviche bowl, and bottomless chips and salsa. Everything was amazing!!! We also got lucky to get $5 margaritas!!! Mango and pomegranate margaritas are higly recommended! The bathroom looks so fancy and neat, too! The service was amazing. And for those reasons, this place deserves 5 stars! ?

The vegetarian options are slim. On the plus side the chips and salsa comes with 4 different types of salsa, all of which are delicious. The food is a little expensive for Mexican food in San Diego, and the environment is really loud with music videos of questionable content on all walls (definitely not PG). The bill in the photo is for a group of 6.
The food was really good! I felt this restaurant was a bit pricey when I got my check for what I ordered. The drinks though....Ohhhh man! DYANNA IS THE BEST!!! She was so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful about things to do in the area! Her drinks fresh everything made from scratch. The presentation was perfect every time. I'd revisit for her masterpieces!
Smelled so good, we asked him where he got it--right around the corner from our condo. My sister and I went there for a small lunch--excellent pomegranate margaritas! I enjoyed the cheese/mushroom tacos; she loved her carne asada ones. Relaxed atmosphere, bartender was friendly , and food was quick and yummy. Definitely a repeat!
My cousin and I were on the hunt for some tacos and decided to give Serrano’s a try! I ordered the grilled sea bass, surf & turf and chorizo tacos. I loved the chorizo and surf & turf! The sea bass was good but not as good as the others. I also topped all of my tacos with a couple of the salsas from the salsa appetizer which really helped to tie in all of the flavors. My cousin ordered grilled chicken, veggie and sea bass tacos. She loved the grilled chicken and veggie and thought the sea bass was just okay. I ordered the coconut margarita, which was good and my cousin got the pomegranate margarita. She didn’t love it. Our server was very nice and attentive. I didn’t love the overall vibes and atmosphere in the restaurant. The food definitely was the star of the entire experience!
Went here with my wife for Taco Tuesday. The tacos were pretty good, substantial, and a good price - fish tacos for $2,50 and others 3 for $10. But the drinks were expensive! A house Magarita for $14. Draft beer $9.50. Ouch. Many TVs, most of which were set to display seductive latino pop videos - quite loud.
