My go to place when I want to bring donuts and croissants to the office. I recommend pre-ordering if planning on bringing to work since the line can get long.

Always good, any time of day, and always friendly. I drive out of my way to come here.

The only place I go for yeast donut holes and donuts in general. Get here early for them because they're almost always sold out by the end of day. I also love the sesame buttermilk donuts here and it's not too sweet. It's all good, you can't go wrong. I'm personally not a big fan of cake donuts in general so I don't have an opinion on those.

Really great service! They custom made unicorn donuts for my daughters birthday and they were perfect. I came in and showed them a couple photos and they nailed it! They even threw in a couple dipped donut holes.

Great little mom and pop store in our neighborhood! I love to support local shops like sesame... their donuts are the homemade usual donuts we see at local other local donut shops -- nothing special -- but every time I eat their donuts - it reminds me of my youth!! I love the whole feel of coming in and smelling that donut-ieee smell... and just picking the donuts I remember eating as a child !! such a nostalgic feeling!! I would come in just to get that experience!!

Came here for the 1st time. It's a small place, but the donuts were really fresh and tasty. Everything was delicious. Probably one of the best donut places that I've been to.

I love this place! They are my secret go-to for my marketing routes! People love the donut holes I bring to their offices and it’s becoming my signature weapon! Big shout out to this place for making me a raising star in the sales industry. I will forever be a customer and more people will know about this place! On my way in now to pick up my donut holes!

This is one of the top 100 donut spots in San Diego. I didn't realize it until I saw it on their window. Came here because I was craving for a donut, specifically a cronut but they were sold out. So, I opted out for the filled donut(s) instead. My intention was just one donut but ended up with half a dozen instead. I mean, can't go wrong buying half for just myself. Got every flavored that had fillings. No regrets! Strawberry jelly, berry jelly, chocolate, Bavarian, vanilla, and lemon. All were so delicious, fluffy, light and not overly sweet for my liking. I know sometimes these filled donuts can be extra sweet especially when they have the powdered sugar all over, but these were just right for my liking.

After it was voted #6 donut place in the USA, noticed that some of the bakery product I used to buy e.g. ham and cheese croissant, glazed donuts and something else, that the quality of them were not the same as it was before. The croissants are of the same size but no longer stuffed as was before. Big air pockets inside the croissants. Gone are the couple of donut holes that goes with the two donuts I usually buy.

Nestled in the heart of Poway, CA, Sesame Donuts provides a delightful escape for those seeking a sweet treat, albeit with its own set of urban peculiarities. The journey begins with the challenge of navigating the notably snug parking spaces, an intriguing prelude to the quaint charm that awaits inside. The interior of the shop, though compact, welcomes visitors with its spotless cleanliness and capacity to comfortably seat about 7 or 8 guests. The air is rich with the enticing aroma of freshly baked donuts, inviting patrons into this homely, family-run haven. Our selection included an apple fritter, a visually appealing pink frosted donut with rainbow sprinkles, and a set of glazed donut holes, complemented by a freshly brewed cup of 100% Colombian coffee, all for an agreeable total of $7.67. The ambiance is as warm and inviting as the treats are tempting, with a gentle flow of customers, soft background tunes, and the staff's meticulous attention to detail, reinforcing the shop's familial essence. The pink frosted donut was an immediate hit with my discerning 7-year-old, and the apple fritter proved to be a rich, satisfying choice. However, the donut holes didn't quite meet our expectations, their dryness detracting from the overall enjoyment. Additionally, the coffee, though initially promising as a complement to our treats, fell short of expectations. The flavor hinted that the coffee machines might benefit from a thorough cleaning, prompting me to leave the cup unfinished. Despite the coffee's letdown, the overall experience, enriched by the staff's friendly interactions and the genuinely relaxed atmosphere, made our 35-minute visit feel fleeting yet memorable. As we left, the thought of returning to Sesame Donuts lingered, drawn by the allure of exploring more delectable treats and the warmth of the welcome.
