I give this place 5 stars although it’s not as fancy as some others, this place is very genuine and delicious! It’s a way to try British food and amazing tea! What I love about this place is they let you choose other teas to try! I love coming in the spring time since the seating is outside. Very lovely place

Just popped in on 12/23 to see if they had a few things that I was unable to source for Xmas. Amazingly they still had mincemeat and Xmas puddings!! The prices were obviously way higher than in the UK, but cheaper than World Market. I will be going back again.

Stopped by this cute shop after spending the afternoon at the pub across the way, and I was so pleasantly surprised by the array of Brit items offered. Everything from Walkers crisps to Cadbury treats, Digestives, PG Tips and homemade baked goods (fresh and warm at the counter or available to purchase frozen). As a vegetarian I was thrilled to see a veggie sausage roll offered! We ordered the cheese, onion and mash pasty and a jumbo sausage roll. Both were authentic, affordable, and absolutely delicious. I am so excited to have found a shop that sells all of my favorite goodies from across the pond. The tea room on the porch looked adorable and we will certainly be back for a sit-down experience. Excellent hospitality!

Want a shop to get your hob nob, Cadbury chocolate, and tea fix? Here's your place. Loads of delicious English food and amenities. We have had a mother's day tea here and it was lovely. Now they have a Point Loma location for teas. The parking can be a pain, it's either free tight spots, maybe 8 spaces, or street parking and stairs. Always friend folks helping.

VERY IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Shakespeare no longer does afternoon tea. We made a reservation and came to the India street location and were informed that they now serve their afternoon tea at Britannia Tea Shoppe about 19 minutes away. Their shoppe is lovely full of wonderful British groceries and candy!

This is a very cool English shop and tea garden. Well, it does not have a garden, but there's a very nice patio right in front. I picked up a few scones while I was here. I wanted a coffee too, but they do not offer it, just tea.The cherry and almond scones were quite good. I really like scones that come with some sort of nut and berry. These were great. The shop has a variety of imported British goods and nick knacks. I liked the variety of cookies and chocolates they offer. It's a very cool place and customer service is very friendly. Check out the cones!

Great amazing collection of British fare I have seen. Love the Scones freshly made at the shop with clotted cream purchased from the fridge. Definitely will be coming here!

Awesome little shop. Service was great!! What the shop lacks in square footage makes up for it with products. This place has more things in it than most little shops in England!! We had dinner across the way at the bar. If the bar wasn't able to accommodate us (which they did) you could easily make a meal out of hot and ready food they had ready to go!!

First time at the Britannia Tea Rooms on Midway in Point Loma. What a unique place with atmosphere from the moment you come in the front door. The gift shop area was fun to browse in while we waited for our table. Our server explained everything clearly and in a very pleasant and professional way. The teas are wonderful and the food is delicious. So happy we went to the Shakespeare and we were redirected to the Britannia. Already looking forward to our outing there!

Very cute - lovely decor, plenty of good teas to choose from, staff was VERY friendly and accommodating, the scones were the best I've ever had, and the tea service was delectable. Highly recommend - I would def go back!

I've only been here once but I have been aching to go again! My friend took me for my birthday last year and it was such an amazing experience. I'd never been to afternoon tea before but the food was amazing and all the different teas on the menu sounded so good! I ended up getting the James Bond themed tea and I liked it so much I bought a bag of it from the shop after tea was done so I could have it at home! They serve the tea in your own personal teapot so you and whoever you are with can have your own flavor of tea to yourself and the teacups they give you are different but all such beautiful designs! All of the tea snacks were delicious, I loved the tea sandwiches and pastries. They all come in such small serving sizes but don't let the size fool you, you will eat enough for a whole meal. The servers are so nice and informative as well, explaining to you what each food item is and always generously refilling your teapot when needed, so sweet and gives the place a homey vibe.
