I’ve been coming here for years! One of my favorite pubs in San Diego and California overall. I live in Los Angeles and anytime I’m in the mood for creamy well poured pints of Guinness, delicious food and soccer games, this is where I come to! I literally drive at 4am to SD from LA to catch EPL!

Steak and ale pie was a little salty for my taste, but otherwise really good.

More than just drinks. This place has a friendly relaxed atmosphere with a nice patio. They are always accommodating and nice. It’s fun to catch trivia night or watch British sports matches. I take out of town friends here to have a beer and sit and talk.

Missed Sunday roast, fish and chips and haggis egg from our UK trip, and cannot find it in Bay Area at all. So once a friend in San Diego told me about this restaurant, we added it to our Sunday vacation list. Service is very high standard and all staffs are friendly, location is perfect. But food is terrible, not even close to the high standard we had in UK. Fish and chips had very thick batter, which is so thick that you can forget about the fish. The fish itself is not very fresh. Potato chips are not cooked thoroughly. The steak and lamb kidney pie is ok, but the seasoning is either too much or too salty compared to UK version. The scotch egg is totally disaster if anyone had the amazing haggis egg from UK. The egg was perhaps prepared 1 day ago, center is solid, and delaminated from the coating. The coating has too much bread and perhaps flour, with very little meat or sausage. The doping source is sour and sweet, totally not the right one…

Update to original impressions. I have had fish and chips 3 times the first time was a full portion which was really good the next two times was off the lunch menu. Bloody awful. I even commented to the waitress how bad ithe previous time and was assured she would make sure i got a lightly battered portion. It was just as bad, died out over cooked had obviously been sitting quite a while. So my best advice is to get the fish and chips only from the full menu. Server just shrugged when i told her.
As close to a real British pub as can be found west of the Atlantic Ocean. Fish and chips to die for.

I went there for a lunch meeting with some colleagues, and we were all excited to sit out on the patio. It’s a great way to get away from the office. Two of us had fish and chips, one of us had a chicken salad, and I had the Cobb salad. We all enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere was nice and the freeway traffic was not too loud. The other people on the patio weren’t too loud either. The service was friendly and timely. It’s been many years since I’ve been here and I’m glad that I came back for lunch.

if you're coming for the fish and chips. Don't.
go literally anywhere else. OR go on Friday when they're 10$ that's the only time they'll be worth it. I saw my server maybe twice. once to take my order and once when she was helping another table and I had to wave her down after. thankfully the rest of the staff was happy to help when asked because I never saw my actual server again. place has good ambiance especially for a soccer game. minimal NA beverages but you don't go to an English pub for a mocktail so I'll give them that haha. overall, decent place if this is what you're looking for, just, don't get the fish n chips. they're like $25 for dry unseasoned fish & fries and the fries tastes like frozen fries from a bag. you're welcome.

The food was fine. Nothing world famous about the fish and chips. The non alcoholic drinks were not advertised on the menu, and the waitress didn't seem to know what they had for non-alcoholic drinks. The restaurant was so dark I had to read the menu using my phone flashlight.
Parking: The parking lot is at a severe angle, and if you don't have an SUV or truck, I would advise parking on the street in the paid parking.
