We've been here a couple of times lately and enjoyed it both times. We also love the little shop where you can find so many goodies from England. On Easter Sunday I tried the Sunday dinner which was pretty delish. My husband has the fish and chips and said the fish was great but the chips were soggy. If they would have been crispy it would have been a 10 out of 10. I love the atmosphere which does make you feel like you're in England. We will definitely be back.

I had the fish and chips. The fish was crispy on the outside, with batter holding up to vinegar and lemon juice, moist juicy filet on the inside. Absolutely delish ? nice variety on the menu, with options for anyone in your group. The fried pickles are also worth an order. Great pub fare with good burgers. End the meal with a sticky toffee pudding with custard. Friendly and attentive staff with good atmosphere and service.Vegetarian options: Several types of curry, and a variety of other options including shepherd's pie, beans on toast, a vegetarian Reubens, Tikka masala.

Edit: I know you did NOT flip out at me for bringing my coffee in here and then let people on your patio blow their toxic cigarette smoke in our faces while we were eating?? Me drinking coffee harms no one and certainly didn’t call for the manager’s overreaction, esp when we find out they’re violating health codes.Yeah i guess some people believe bringing coffee in a restaurant is “rude” but when i buy YOUR coffee AND a few extra drinks, people usually leave me alone. But the manager here FREAKED out at us one night over this right off the bat.. then today we drop in and get smoke in our faces and we’re told it’s legal? Smoking on a restaurant patio next to other guests and open windows IS LEGAL? I’m asthmatic, so is my husband, and i’m pretty sure this is absolutely NOT legal.Old review: I love this place; Cider & Black, Cod’s Bollock’s, Ploughman’s Plate, Fried Green Beans and pot pies are absolutely perfect. The manager is a bit rude, though.Kid-friendliness: NOT kid friendly unless you’re cool with your kids breathing cigarette smoke.
