Man so surprised with lower 4 star review!
Their dumplings are on point better than the dumplings downtown near gyro place.

Also almost equal to the noodle house place on convoy!
Thank you for reasonable price for community!
The bbq pork buns are better than a few places ive had! Very decent with reasonable prices!

Ordered pick up at the Point Loma location. Food was very dry and tasteless, so I called to discuss the order and was told the manager is out of town and that I could not get a refund or a replacement. I was also told if you don’t like our food, don’t come back. 😆. Wow! This is a fantastic way to get return customers.

I always thought this was just a Tapa place so never thought to go here. The other day when walking by I looked at the menu and it's not just tapas. I had general tso chicken and a glass of wine. The chicken was served quickly and was very good. I will be going back.

I can't say enough about this place. I have probably tried everything on their wide variety menu, and I have never been disappointed. The food, atmosphere and staff are nothing short of fantastic. The bartenders absolutely know what they're doing (try the scorpion bowl), and the kitchen staff are always on point. Perfect for a quick bite to eat or a cute date, no one can beat the bun.

This is my favorite spot in town for Chinese food. I can always walk in and get a table immediately and the food comes out quickly and is hot and tastes fresh. Nothing is necessarily going to blow your mind but everything I've ever ordered tastes good and hits that craving for some inauthentic takeout style Chinese food perfectly. Service is generally friendly and I always leave satisfied. It's also very reasonably priced. This is a great staple spot to keep in the rotation.

Shanghai Bun had some great little dim sum dishes and it was well priced. Their happy hour menu has a large selection of plates to choose from which makes it an easy way to save a few bucks if you come early. The restaurant had an interesting vibe, it felt more like a bar than a dim sum restaurant. I would eat here again!

All I could say upon leaving was - "$45, for that? Really?" I couldn't stop repeating it, I was so amazed.

I was alone, had just a few items, and $45 later. Apart from that, the food was out of bags from 99 Ranch Market, but not the high quality items, the cheap stuff. Greasy, overcooked. The wonton soup must've been made from a mix of Trader Joe's chicken stock and - believe it or not - Miso paste. The atmosphere was mostly dive bar, but without the cool vibe, and the clientele was mostly senior citizens. Obviously I'm not going back. But I'm still incredulous - how did so little cost so much and be so mediocre?

Picked this place because it was closest to the hotel. Not authentic, but tasty. For example, the wor wonton soup had chicken instead of chashu, and was served with fried wonton strips. The soup hit the spot regardless. The service was so-so. The waitress spilled the leftover dressing all over our table and the floor and just left it there. She seemed happier when we left than when we arrived. I can see how this is a good place if you want a large assortment of beers to choose from, and dim sum.

I got the kung pao chicken with chow mein. It wasn't spicy and had way to much sauce. Unfortunately I was unimpressed with the dish and consider it a downgraded panda express. The lunch special was $17 which seems a little pricey.

Cool area of Point Loma, chill vibes inside. The boba tea is good.

Stopped here for lunch after hours of driving from Phoenix. I was surprised that there’s no customer there. We’re the only two. Anyway we ordered some dim sums from the menu. Each of us had the Shanghai Bun Sampler, and we shared the BBQ Pork buns and Shrimp Noodle rolls. The dim sum arrived quickly and they’re all hot enough. All the dim sum were delicious and we enjoyed it. Price reasonable and staffs were very friendly. Plenty of seats and nice ambiance. Recommend.
