When we lived in downtown this USED to be our go to sushi spot. NO MORE. Went there last night w/ a reservation. Ordered a spicy tuna handroll that was terrible. Tuna was stringy and nothing else in it. The crunchy tempura roll tasted fine but was loosely wrapped so hard to eat. The double double roll was gross. What ever was on top tasted like month old pate. The taste and texture were off. And I love pate! And all kinds of sushi! And get this when we asked for more soy sauce ( b/c it wasn't on our table ) and asked our waitress to please leave it she said "it's policy to not leave it". Huh? Looked around and no body had a bottle on their table. What? Am I going to put in my purse and take it home? And our waitress would reach across us and remove items from our table w/o and excuse me or anything.Very rude! And then the kicker was our table was right next to the sushi bar and this SUPER loud guy came in and stood and had a beer while his 2 friends seated at the bar ate. Like it was a "bar bar". Who does that? And what sushi bar allows that? We couldn't hear each other talk. And neither could the people around us, so they started talking louder. The mood was shot! When we used to go here it was a 4.8 stars, I see it's 4.4 now. Understand now why it's slipping. We WON'T be back.

The nigiri-sushi fish was a little flat and bland tasting. The crispy rice tuna was interesting and good. And the gyoza was good too. A little too pricey for the quality.

The sushi here was impeccable. We had a large group and ordered a wide variety of items. Literally everything was delicious. Might be the closest quality I’ve had outside of Japan.

So far is ok. Service has bad attitude in work. Food is very expensive. Missing orders, out of order. No matter how good is food is make the restaurant go bad.

We just moved to Little Italy area and we’re recommended Shino as the best local sushi spot. We went for dinner this past Saturday and I now understand why it was highly recommended! The sushi was incredible, the staff was quick and on point, and it was the best little spot for a great date night! We will be back and highly recommend for anyone looking for the best sushi joint in little Italy!

I never thought I could eat such delicious Japanese food in San Diego. I think the content is of a very high level even in Japan. I've been to many places in America, but this is without a doubt the best. Thank you for the meal.

This place was an absolute miss. Servers were nice but that was about it.Food took over 45 mins to receive.Rolls were imbalanced with fish vs rice, and fish was over sauced. Texture looked like cat food vs actual fishWaited forever for tuna slices over rice. Tuna was poor quality for such a specific dish.Place was super loud and bumping music on top of the ambient noise. Just too much.

Great sushi and service. We got the kitchen sink and the toro toro and both were so good! We also did the yellowtail sashimi which was amazing! Definitely recommend.
