We dinned in the evening so we didn’t get to see the view but food, wine and service fantastic! It was very cold inside so they gave us a blanket ? and were visiting from Seattle. Air conditioning was uncomfortable.

The location is truly out of this world! Nestled right on the beach, it offers an incredible view of the waves rolling in and out—such a unique and relaxing setting. We decided to sit at the bar, where the bartender was super friendly and made us a delicious raspberry lemon drop with fresh ingredients. We were hungry but found that nothing on the menu really stood out for us at the moment, so we just enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere. It’s a great spot to sit at the bar, take in the chill vibes, and soak up the stunning view. There’s valet and street parking.

It's one of my favorite places to go for food and ambiance. The food experience is out of this world. The flavors are on point. The servers are very attentive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is like no other. I highly recommend you spoil your spouse on that special occasion. If you can find a better all-around restaurant, please let me know. I will be returning when in town.

Matthew our bartender was awesome! Service was on point & the cocktails were delicious! Oh and of course the food… we ordered appetizers and what can we say, its the Marine Room. Ya’ll know how the food is. If you go for cocktails & appetizers ask for Matthew to get perfect drinks & service!
We stayed for drinks and an appetizer and that was the best fish I’ve ever had. Our server Marissa was also the kindest server we’ve ever encountered. We will definitely be back again. An amazing view as well!

We recently moved to SD and decided to celebrate our anniversary at The Marine Room. I wanted to go there because when I previously visited San Diego, I had a good experience there! Now that our new house is just two minutes away, I thought it would be the perfect spot for our special night. My husband, however, suggested Addison at the Fairmont Del Mar, feeling it would offer the level of service fitting for our celebration. But I insisted, telling him, “this place I went to last time! I liked it, they have good food, and hey, it’s convenient—it’s only two minutes away from home.” Sadly, this experience was a huge letdown, and we regret choosing it for such a special occasion.
From the start, the service was terrible. We had to wait just to be seated, and once we got to our table, the staff was indifferent, even after we mentioned it was our anniversary. The table they gave us wasn’t great, and when we asked to change it, the response was dry and unfriendly. My husband went to speak with the manager, hoping for better treatment, but he was just as rude and dismissive. What really struck us was how the manger made it seem like we should feel lucky just to be dining there. For the pictures on instagram & prices they charge, you’d expect decent service, but the attitude was more like a cheap diner than a respectable restaurant. To top it off, the place had a strange, unpleasant smell, which made the entire experience even worse. At that point, we decided to leave. Without even taking it further as we felt the whole situation is beneath !! We ended up at another restaurant in Rancho Santa Fe, and the difference was night and day. They treated us like valued customers, with a beautiful anniversary setup, proving why they’re a Michelin contender. In contrast, The Marine Room felt like a tourist trap—poooor , poor service that doesn’t match the area’s standards. If you’re looking for a place with good experience , good service, and a welcoming vibe, I wouldn’t recommend The Marine Room. My husband’s first impression was spot on: it’s great for pictures and trendy on social media, but it’s nothing more than that. I should’ve trusted his opinion
