La Jolla has no shortage of fabulous brunch spots. Shorehouse is great because it's a casual spot with large portions and good eats. They have seating both inside and outside. They are able to accommodate large groups and you can join the waitlist online to better time your wait. I've always had great service at Shorehouse, so it's become a bit of a favorite in our rotation. They have savory and sweet breakfast items. I tend towards the savory, but my mother in law always gets the pancakes with the chantilly cream that is a great added touch!

Busy spot. Love the ease of getting on the waitlist. Portions are huge. Love the crispy hash browns! The service was great, and I can't ask for a better location.

Blueberry banana protein smoothie and steak hash is always a hit! Always crispy hash, good serving of tender meat and perfectly cooked eggs. They are also the only place I know that have brioche as an optional choice for bread (love that!)! Street parking only though, but what to do you expect of that area. Fairly quick to find one during the weekdays but could be a nightmare during weekends and during summer! Super close by La Jolla shores.

The brunch vibes at this La Jolla spot are excellent. Service is great. My food was alright. I got the grilled cheese. It was good, just nothing spectacular. I would want to try other things on the menu if there was a next time. I would recommend this place for breakfast/brunch lovers.

This place is absolutely phenomenal. Everything here is really fresh and tasty. I highly recommend the biscuits and omelette. They also have delicious loose leaf teas. Great service and friendly staff.

First time to Shorehouse and got in without much of a wait Bc of immense rain. But I'd definitely come back again even if we had to wait. The food was very good. We had a wide range at our table of 6, which is a squeeze but can still accommodate and I'm sure when there's no rain it's easier. We had the French toast, pancakes with fruit on top, fried chicken sandwich, grilled cheese, Monterey omelette and the angus beef. All were excellent. Angus meat was tender and flavorful, the brioche for sandwiches and French toast were fluffy and buttery and the hash was a perfect crispiness. They even did the bacon extra crispy. Chicken was tender and everything was a good flavor. I'm not one for too salty so I liked this amount. Service was great. They came by frequently and did all the little things - warmed up syrup, kept the coffee filled, provided nicely individually bottled preservatives, and beautiful latte art :). Waiter was friendly and accommodating and very pleasant guy. Ambiance was nice although it's a small space esp if you cannot use the outdoor patio. Had some subtle sound paneling for the main room, 2 bathrooms anyone can use and a side cafe, coffee section too. Love the natural light and corner location. Parking may get tight given the area but we lucked out bc of the rain.

I have been going to Shore House Kitchen for breakfast on Sunday mornings for several years. Each and every time it has been excellent. This place is unique. Tell your friends! There are very few decent breakfast-and-brunch restaurants in San Diego. This one is the best one.

Love the service and food! Both excellent, pleasant and everything tasted so amazing! It's cute and quiet for an intimate lunch! My friend was in the area and decided to stop by for a quick bite before the rest of our day. Definitely would come back!
