Yo, the spot’s lit for music, no doubt—but if you’re a girl, don’t expect the front entrance bar girlies to give you any love. Those chicks working there? Nah, they’re too busy thirst-trapping for dudes, and it’s painfully obvious. Like, girl, I get it—you gotta keep the lights on, but straight-up ignoring the ladies for 20 minutes? That’s a no from me. It’s 2024, where’s the solidarity at? Someone needs to pull the two bartenders who worked Friday night (November 22nd, closing shift) aside and have a little chat.

Now let me spill the tea: the black-haired bartender? Sis was serving major attitude. You know that energy where someone thinks they’re that girl, but she’s actually super mid? Yeah, that. Life’s gonna humble her real quick when she hits 30, just wait on it. 😘 Meanwhile, my friend and I tried to drop our coins, but instead, we got side-eyes, ignored, and watched her strut off like she was in a TikTok thirst trap!!

The blonde one? She wasn’t much better, but next to Miss Black Hair, she’s basically Beyoncé. 😂 Still rude, but hey, it’s her moment in the spotlight—let her have it. 🫶🏻

‼️ Ladies, here’s the play: skip the front bar entirely. Slide to the back bar where they actually see you. It’s giving “girls’ girls” energy back there, unlike the front bar, which is stuck in Mean Girls 2004. 💀💀 Like, girlies, we’ve got money, and we’re ready to spend it, so if you don’t want it, cool. Just a heads-up for my girls—take your cash to the back. Those front-bar babes don’t deserve it they’re way too into themselves. ‼️

On the real, though, I’ll give credit where it’s due—they did have some nice 🍑s to stare at while making me wait 20 minutes to get a drink. Shame I’m not gay, though. Maybe they would’ve actually treated me better if I was a man! 💀💀💀💀💀

Would not let me in because of religious attire. Everyone stated I was put together very well. But wouldn’t let me in.

We were there for an event, where this was the rented venue. Staff was nice, though their knowledge of mixology was limited. The space was well designed, though less luxurious than we were lead to believe. All in all, a pretty good bar.

Side bar is by far my favorite club in San Diego! The music is always great and they have the coolest events! Andra is an amazing server! And Ree always takes good care of us! I’ve spent my birthday here for the past two years and they have made both very memorable! Obviously will be returning! P.S. the side burgers are to die for!
