Ordered the Combo, with the classic tonkatsu ramen and a pork bun. Cost about $20. The pork bun was very good; soft, steamed, springy bun with tender pork. The ramen was amazing. Arguably one of the best bowls of tonkatsu ramen I've had in San Diego. Noodles were cooked perfectly, the broth was rich and creamy, and the pork chashu was tender and full of flavor. This spot will be my new go-to ramen place for the La Jolla area!

Don’t let the mall location fool you, one of the best ramen spots in SD! Love the Shoyu On Fire.
Amazing servers who are always very kind and accommodating of our dogs (there are 2 small tables outside)

Forgot to take photos but:
Ramen wasnt bad, wasnt somehting I would go back for!
Grilled Gyoza was good, but the sauce it came with was NOT! Dont know if it was supposed to be a type of Ponzu but it didnt taste good at all.
Shrimp Tempura Hand Roll was more like half roll of uncut sushi with a pile of imitation crab and ONE tempura. Nothing close to a hand roll.
Side of the mall for the location and seating arrangements were a little awkward compared to others.
Skip this place and go somewhere worth it.

At the entrance of the food court in UTC, my friend and I each ordered a Combos$20.5, which included one ramen and one appetizer—a pretty good value. The ramen I chose was shoyu on fire. It didn’t taste like traditional Japanese ramen, more like regular noodle, but the broth was very creamy, and I really enjoyed the flavor. For the appetizer, we had fried chicken and pan-fried dumplings, which were nothing special.

Shared the Crispy Rice and Tuna appetizer and got a bowl of the Blaze ramen! The broth was delicious, the noodles were cooked perfectly, and a thick slice of pork. The staff was friendly, attentive, and personable! Definitely will come back again the next time I'm in town!

Loved it. It was my first time in this place. The server was very nice, the service was prompt, and the food was delicious! My nephew treated me to this! We started with sushi, then had something like a rice 🍚 bowl--and it was delicious, and the server brought us some fried chicken to try--a whole order! I wanted to try their desserts 🍨, but i just didn't have any room. So, that's another trip I have to plan. And the only thing I didn't like, which they have no control over, is the noise level. But there's nothing to be done about that. Over all, it was a lovely experience!😍🪷

Ace, our server, was incredibly friendly and immediately helpful whenever we needed extra bowls or utensils. 5 stars!
Best ramen
Ambiance and service are nice enough, but the food was just okay for us. The edamame with garlic had great flavor.
Restaurantji Recommends
Tonkotsu broth is thick and rich! Extra side of pork, eggs and broccoli are highly recommended.
Pork belly you will dream about! drool 🤤
This restaurant is pretty good, I recommend it.
Food was great, staff was great as well.
This is my favorite ramen and karage place to go. This particular location. Our server Ace and Jason helped in the clean up. Service was fast and very transparent when what my daughter want was not available. He offers suggestions or other options which turns out to be even better. Thus, the 5 star rating.
