I usually get the vegan chick'n teriyaki, I should try other dishes too! I love the mock meats. The portions were generous and the mock chick'n is really realistic it is like eating the real thing. The flavor is intense. I used to like the Sipz location in a food court in an office park in Sorrento Valley. I thought that the menu was really innovative. Sipz is definitely a vegan experience in SD.

They need to update the Google listing. Tried to go for my mom’s birthday for lunch, only to find out sips doesn’t exist anymore and they don’t serve lunch. Zero indication of this online. My mom drove all the down from Vista just for this only to be turned away because they weren’t serving. They even have a picture of the old sign with no indication of a change of ownership. Insane stuff.
Love this place.

Appears to have closed. The food was great. They still have a location in Claremont tho.

It pains me to write this review because I used to love Sipz and they used to be a great Asian fusion spot. A few years ago they had anything from sushi to Thai food and boba. The food was flavorful and the atmosphere was enjoyable. Flash forward to today, I'm not sure what happened but I'm pretty sure it's a new ownership because none of those things I mentioned exist today. Starting with walking into the restaurant: it was loud, echoey and uninviting. The chairs were hard and sound bounced off all the walls, it was a loud and unpleasant experience. The menu has shrunk down to almost nothing, it feels like less than 10 Thai food dishes and that's about it. The menu used to be several pages long featuring sushi and offering boba in addition to Asian fusion. One of the worst things is they added non-vegan food to the menu! This alone makes me think it's a new ownership, otherwise I have no idea what happened. The staff were friendly but even that was problematic. The greeter had bad hygiene and the server asked way too many questions. It felt like we were on a game show and not in a good way. Was the food any good? Unfortunately it was bland, mushy and forgettable. The worst Pad Thai I've ever had. Overall Sipz is no longer a good spot I can recommend to anyone. Maybe the one in Clairemont is better but I don't want to risk it.
Parking: We ended up paying $5 to park in the Observatory parking lot down the street.

My friend and I shared a great meal. The food was sooooo delicious and the drink selection hit the spot. I will be getting the dirty fries again. Also service was fast and kind (thanks Victor) and portions are kinda huge, so go there hungry.

We got the vegan wings, salt and pepper “chicken”, and the orange “chicken” and it was incredible. My partner and I are vegetarian/vegan and this is possibly the best vegan food we’ve ever had. The portions were large as well! The drinks were delicious too as they are partnering with a local brewery and the mango hard iced tea was so light and flavorful without being overly sweet. Cant recommend this place enough!

The orange chicken and salt and pepper dishes were delicious. The orange sauce was so fresh and the best I've ever had. This is definitely one of the best vegan restaurants I've had, I highly recommend bringing anyone in here!

Amazing!! Not only vegan but super delicious and very friendly staff. First vibe was okay honestly as it was not packed during day time but after talking to staff and trying food I am convinced coming again soon. Btw portions are huge and absolutely worth the money!

I got the Orange chicken with white rice... it was deeeeelicious❣️ came out hot (temp) and considerably quick (it was not busy when I was there ). The portion was a bit big for me but ? worth it #Veganuary
It used to be my go to place for vegan food but sadly, not anymore. While it was never a cozy spot, it’s just unacceptably dirty now. Food has gotten worse and more expensive, and the service was poor (server was rude and shaking head at us ??♀️). I’m disappointed to cross this once yummy spot off my list.

Can’t judge atmosphere. We picked up. They forgot our dessert and still have not refunded us, said I needed to call the owner but that I didn’t? Confusing. The tofu is cut so largely that even if you cut it in half, it’s still a full bite. Fried tofu was awful. king Pao is the only reason they’re getting two stars. It was okay. Definitely not worth the money especially after the service. Really want my refund asap. Can’t refund over the phone but can’t drive there because visiting out of state. Just not good. Days later, still no refund. No one will call, email, or answer me back in any way. I now have to go thru my bank.
