I've been a patron at Sitar for over 25 years and have tried many of their dishes. They are all consistently delicious. My favorite is the saag lamb, mild, with rice, lentils, Dahl and Nan I love their unsweetened Chai tea as well. I haven't been able to order for a couple of years now since they started renovating the food court but it hasn't stopped me from calling and hoping one day they will answer. I've tried other Indian restaurants but nothing compares.
Have tried combo plates with kofta curry, Felt freezer food with kofta balls overcooked.BIRYANI - isn't savory, authentic , was prepared mixing white rice with gravy, which isnt biryani recipe.
Excellent spot for lunch. The lunch special comes with a huge piece of freshly made naan, and usually a dessert. All of the food is made in-house.
Chicken Vindaloo, Naan, Malai Kofta, Tandoori Chicken are Delicious!
Take out for dinner was great, just surprised the cost of extra nan was a little more than expected.

I ordered onion uttapam and shahi paneer combo. Shahi paneer was ok

Love the Indian delicacies at this place. Always my go to place when I crave for proper Indian cuisine. When nearby Sorrento Valley, please give this restaurant a try.
Not the best but ok
The chicken tikka masala is so good! Especially with the fresh garlic Naan bread.
