Bring back the black bean burger!The best menu hack was to be able to get the black bean burger in any style as any other Burger. Now. They took it off the menu one month ago And replaced it with Annie 's Jackfruit veggie burger Which I think is supposed to mirror the taste of meat potentially, although I've never had meat, but it made me want to gag. I literally had half of one bite and I wanted to throw up. It was the most disgusting thing I've ever tasted. Almost a combination of mushrooms with cardboard. I Love jackfruit. I'm super bummed because my boyfriend and I used to be able to come here and he could get his fill of a traditional American burger and I could also dine with him with my black bean burger and now I have nothing to eat on the menu. The worst part was that even though the staff is incredibly nice and helpful and the restaurant is maintained very clean (SDSU college area location), I brought an entire veggie burger back up to the counter with not even a full bite out of it and they wouldn't exchange it or credit it towards a different Burger. All the staff told me to do is leave it in the reviews so that's what I'm doing. That was $10. We literally threw in the trash. And we even tipped them $6 before realizing how awful the burger was going to be. I wish we could have taken the tip back. I was shocked they didn't replace the burger so that was 16 bucks between that and the tip for nothing. I don't think we're going to be coming back for a while, even though the brussel sprouts are really good.

Had a great experience dining in for lunch today. The place was well kept and maintained. I heard a lot about their burgers so I had to try it for myself. I met the manager Ana and she did great in keeping the lunch-rush in order. She also helped explain the various options on their menu. She recommended the double brisket with bacon. That was delicious! I got a side of their tater tots, they were nice and crispy! Also, they have the best lemonade! Mix the Tractor strawberry juice with lemonade, it’s the best combo. If you’re in the area, I recommend trying the burgers here.

First time. Ordered the Smoked Bacon Brisket Burger and the Avocado Bacon Club Crispy Chichen Sandwich. I was pretty hungry. The Brisket sandwich bread was, just not good. It lacked flavor although it was BBQ. Left a chemical taste in my mouth. It may be a chemical smoke. If you've tasted that taste, you know. The Chicken sandwich. Bread too, just not good. The crunch, was perfect! But it too, even with avocado and bacon, lacked. And something rancid. Perhaps rancid oil. Just wanted to pitch it after 3 bites. I dont write reviews, but it was just so gross. Sorry guys I really thought 24 bucks would be good eats. Not into shoestring fries, nothing to report.

I absolutely love coming here to eat! Smashburger has the best burgers hands down and I always order their shakes too. The atmosphere is always so clean and the customer service is amazing. George is the nicest worker and he's always in a funny and happy mood, that guy deserves a raise! I'll definitely be back soon and again 50 times before the end of the year lol
On the corner of College Avenue and El Cajon Blvd. Super clean & organized Smashburger restaurant with plenty of tables and seats. There is a parking lot but with limited parking spots. Restaurant adjacent with other businesses. Staff is very nice, patient and helpful with our orders. My daughter is a fan of their double classic smash with the smash fries. I like their double Colorado, smash fries, onion rings and sweet potatoes fries. You can make the burgers a double or single patty. Double classic smash consists of American cheese, pickles, lettuce, red onions, tomatoes, smash sauce and ketchup. 10 out of 10, can't go wrong with burger and lots of veggies. Double Colorado: consists of double patty, pepper jack and cheddar cheese, green chiles, tomatoes, lettuce, mayo on a spicy Chipotle bun. I rate it a 9 out of 10, green chilies was not spicy for me but it had great flavor and everything tasted great with each bite. Their fries are always crispy and fried to perfection, you can ask for extra ranch on the side. The smash fries have rosemary, garlic and olive oil. They are delicious! 10 out of 10. The onion rings are on a thinner side, still very tasty. Milk shakes are handmade, so delicious and worth the extra calories. Lol.

These burgers are just what I want when I'm craving one. Greasy, big, and delicious. First, you order your food with a cashier and when it's ready they bring it to you. It's more like fast food ish but similar to sh@ke sh@ck. The Mac and cheese burger caught my eye when I first saw it and even tho I'm lactose intolerant, I was willing to accept the consequences to try it. Luckily, k always have a lactose pill with me so the punishment was nothing and the taste definitely outweighed the cons.
