This is a nice lunch option on the UCSD campus. It is pricey though so they're not quite catering to their audience in my opinion. The food is comparable to other underbelly locations. It's quite good but I wouldn't call it mind blowing. They have a small but varied and unusual beer selection which I appreciated.Large outdoor patio with music playing every time I've come by, but it's not loud enough to inhibit conversation, I think.
Vegetarian options: Vegetarian Ramen, egg sandwich, mushroom onigiri

More expensive than the other locations in San Diego because it's on UCSD campus. Hidden location so it would take time to find it. Parking is a nightmare! Reccomend parking in south parking structure if you get lucky their is paid parking right in front.

The vibe is not that of an Izakaya. It is more of a college town bar with loud music that is rather offensive. The food is not a quality that I would desire to come back for more. Overall, not a good choice for lunch.
Went in around 7 pm paid for parking and walked over only to find it was already closed. Online hours said it was open until 9pm (and they were taking online orders still) so being 2 and a half hours from home we drove an additional 30 mins out the way just to try this ramen spot. Very disappointed we couldn’t try it i would call to see if they are really open before you waste your time and money driving to it, this place seems to make their own hours.
Beautiful location but the food didn’t taste that great. Our server placed our to-go bowl on the chair by me instead of on the table, which I thought was very unusual, lol.
Very cool spot. Awesome service and quality noodles. Also very good bartending and unique drinks.
Honestly the food didn't really taste like anything, but everything else about the place is pretty

Dope spotBest Ramen I’ve had
A lot of the older reviews are for a previous restaurant that was in the same space. Once underbelly took over earlier this year, it single handedly turned this entire part of campus into a VIBE. The most aesthetically pleasing place at UCSD, great ramen, nice drinks, RECOMMEND❤️
The lighting is interesting. The fire outside is warm. They have a burger apparently but we didn't get it.

This is as cool as they get when it comes to Ramen spots. With a great atmosphere and tasty Ramen, Underbelly is perfectly at home on UCSD's campus.
