I hosted my dad's retirement lunch here and Solare was so accommodating, especially for such a large party. They went above and beyond. The service was wonderful and the food was incredible. We had a couple couple with allergies that were able to eat without worrying. I highly recommend Solare. It's a wonderful place to eat.

I enjoyed my dinner here. The menu selection was diverse and offered plenty of enticing options. The food was delicious, and each dish seemed thoughtfully prepared. Their wine selection is impressive.

Best Margherita Pizza. Perfectly thin crust with just the right amount of cheeze and mozzarella. The basil is added in such a way that you can appreciate its flavor.

Came here without a reservation and was understandably seated at the bar.
I have no problem with this other than the bartender was incredibly pushy for us to order.
We had the menus in front of us for all of five minutes and were asked 5 times if we were ready to order. Eventually he stopped asking if we were ready and skipped directly to, do you want to order bread while you figure it out. That seemed to get him off our case, but overall, we did feel like we had to rush our decision making a bit.
The bread was phenomenal. The food was fine, but the price is not completely justified.

Not good at all. Came here for restaurant week and was unbelievably short changed. The salad includes a couple pieces of lettuce with some good Burrata I will admit, but the ravioli was awful and tasted like it came from a grocery store and the mussels tasted worse, possibly expired from a grocery store. I have no animosity towards this establishment and was so genuinely excited to try it and was so let down. The whole image of one of San Diego "best Italian restaurants" is a total farce and soemhting they made up when places like Cesarina, Buena Forcetta, and Adriano Enoteca are far superior. Please spare yourself from eating grange and avoid this place, especially for restaurant week. PS service was horrendous too
