First time here, food is good, staff is good, service is ok, and price is okay. The issue was that we asked the server what's their popular because its our first time, she told me everything is popular or it wouldnt be on the menu and moved on to tell me how many years the restaurant is 🤣 Not so helpful, but I never thought she didnt deserve a tip because I know the other staff were very good 🤷‍♀️ Of course, they still receive the 20% tip.

Highly recommend. You expect it to be good because of the reviews. What is the surprise is that it lives up to and exceeds your expectations. From the Zuccini Blossoms to the Osso Bucco to the wine and desserts - magnificent and understated. 10/10

One of the best meals I have ever had in San Diego! Also great value for restaurant week, to be able to try 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 desserts. Amazing wine selection. The service was OUTSTANDING! No one walked past our table if there was a dirty dish or empty drink. It was a wonderful experience.

What a wonderful restaurant! Walking in felt like going into someone's home. We were welcomed with a smile and a warm greeting. The atmosphere was lively and ambiance and decor were warm and handsome. The menu was innovative and the servings, plentiful. Pasta and pizza were outstanding . The filet and lamb were tender, delicious and beautifully presented. The Caesar salad was delicious and true to the real Style. The eggplant parmesan was light and perfectly seasoned. Our waiter was professional, accommodating, knowledgeable and timed his service perfectly. We have already recommended Solare to several of our friends.

Way too noisy. Could be easily fixed with table cloths and tables that didn't require 2 diners to seat four feet from each other. Was not a pleasant dining experience

The Eggplant Parmigiana was excellent as it usually is. Great salad with wonderful light olive oil based dressing and a wonderful ricotta cheesecake.

Excellent service and absolutely delicious food! Highly recommend. I ordered the Tomahawk pork chop which came with asparagus, yellow and purple potatoes. My family and I will definitely be back.

I had a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the elegant Italian atmosphere; perfect for a special occasion or a nice evening out.

The wine list was extensive with plenty of excellent options to choose from. As someone who enjoys a good glass of wine with dinner, I really appreciated the variety.

The highlight of the meal was the Risotto Tartufo e Capesant, which was absolutely delicious. Rich, flavorful, and beautifully prepared—it’s the kind of dish you remember and want to come back for.

The staff were also a big part of what made the experience so enjoyable. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, and attentive, which made us feel comfortable and well taken care of.

This is definitely a place I’ll be returning to for good Italian food, especially when celebrating a special occasion. Highly recommended.

The pear and gargonzola pizza was delicious! The crust was perfectly cooked. There is a large wine list and specialty cocktails.
Happy hour is everyday.
The restaurant is a short walk away from the parking lots.

We went for the Christmas Eve dinner which included four courses for 70 dollars a person. They ran out of the special lasagna which was possibly the best option for the main course. The food quantity is small for the first 2 courses which as seen on the photo.
