While Soleil @ K is great for hotel guests at the Marriott Gaslamp Quarter, it's worth a stop for non-guests, as well. Good service and while it can be busy during peak hours, other hours are quiet and quaint. I ate there for breakfast and dinner, both of which were enjoyable meals. Patio dining with a closeup view of the Comic Con costumers. When I made the reservations they were for the brunch. When we arrived we learned that because it was Comic Con weekend brunch was no longer available. Lunch had started a half hour earlier than usually and the menu was limited to a special and limited Comic Con lunch menu. I made the reservation on Open Table. Needed to have a hearty breakfast before exploring San Diego. We decided to eat at Soleil K in our hotel, the Marriott Gaslamp District. I had the Carb Conscious Frittata with a side of fruit while my travel partner opted for scrambled eggs and a biscuit. The frittata was tasty and fabulous, while the eggs and biscuit were standard, but with good coffee.
