I gate that this place is in a teeny tiny parking lot. But I happened to see it on my way home and thought hmmm soup sounds good. I thought by the name it was going to be a French style Cafe. Little did I expect that it will be a chinese owned café.
I thought since im here wth, let me get the Congee, I was in heaven! Perfectly cooked and i love it!!! Also got the shiitake mushroom pork, not bad.
Definitely coming again!
Let me say this....this food was incredible and the best I've eaten in a long time. I worked in the restaurant growing up and my wife can only eat certain foods and everything she had was out of this world. Today is my 2nd time here ordering to-go and drove 1 hour just to get another takeout order. You have to eat here. Last thing, these 3 items were incredible....the meatball soup and the Rice cakes with brown sugar and my wife had the sweet and sour fish. She said it was unbelievable!
New review-This is my second time trying this restaurant. We were nearby for an art event and after it ends, we wanted to find somewhere clean, quiet and comfortable to have dinner with my baby in the troller. This place is perfect, very baby friendly and the space is wide and open. We ordered something we really loved from last time, which is the crispy Taiwanese fried chicken, it is probably the best Taiwan style fried chicken in San Diego, my husband said it is his forever love. The basil leaves are great match with the chicken, adding nice flavor in it. We also had a chicken salad, the taste is light and clean, great for people who love clean food. We also had a roasted duck wrap, it is good and filling. But comparing to the foods we ordered last time, this dish isn’t the most recommended. The service here is super super good, I enjoyed the relax and friendly atmosphere.
Previous review- We finally tried this soup-focused restaurant I had bookmarked on Yelp, and it was amazing! The space is modern and bright, and the friendly Taiwanese server gave us great recommendations.
We ordered three soups: meatball, hot and sour, and radish—all delicious. The salt and pepper chicken was the best we’ve had in San Diego, and the taro chips with their dipping sauce were addictive. The crab mango salad was fresh and sweet, and the honey spare ribs rice plate was tender and satisfying. We ended with crème brûlée—perfectly crisp on top and creamy inside.
My mom called it one of the best restaurants in San Diego, and we can’t wait to go back!
Daikon soup was served steaming hot and very delicious!
My husband and I stopped here for a little lunch date and are very happy we did! We had the corn and egg soup, the veggie spring rolls, and my husband had the wontons. Everything was really delicious and we are lamenting there is not another location closer to home for us!
Everything was great. Loved the pork chop and veggies. The sauce that came with it was super tasty, and the portion was a good size. Will be back for sure.
I like the popcorn chicken, totally awesome ! I think here is the best popcorn chicken in San Diego!
Incredibly friendly service and incredibly tasty Taiwanese food. You must get the street chicken- absolutely incredible. Soups are on point as well. Wish I lived closer.
“This is a wonderful, welcoming restaurant! Julie and Jeff are incredibly friendly and provide top-quality service, making the experience truly unforgettable. I first visited a week ago and was so impressed that I went back again a few days later. The food is fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere is both relaxing and uplifting. Overall, a fantastic experience—I’m definitely going again! I also noticed they handle a high volume of takeout orders, which speaks to their popularity.”
Cute spot of you like to try some authentic Taiwanese and fusion options available. I got some minced pork rice and popcorn chicken. Both are deliciously done and I was pleasantly surprised.

Every time I think I want to eat soup I look this place up and they're always closed
Taiwanese chicken was good
Very good food! Great service and didn't take long to get our food.
Probably the best Taiwanese popcorn chicken place in SD flavour wise, wish they did a spicy version.
Food is very delicious! They serve really authentic Taiwanese food here. The spicy street chicken (popcorn chicken) is the best I ever ate. Their rice dish and soups are also tasty. The honey glazed rib tastes very flavored. Highly recommended! Service is also excellent! The server is very nice and polite.
