I tried one of their chicken dishes and can't remember the name; however, it was so good that I had a second chicken entree. Also, they cook their basmati rice correctly which not an easy task by any means. Additionally, I liked our server because he was easy to talk to. This is now my top Himalayan food spot in Poway and Rancho Bernardo. A big thank you for a great lunch break to Spices of Himalaya!
Parking: Large parking area that has a short walk

I wish I had photos of the food, but it disappeared too quickly because it tasted so good! I ordered a lunch for one of my sister's wedding weekend events. The staff was able to help me determine how much food to order, and they helped me with some catering equipment last minute. When I ended up having to send someone else to pick up the food, they recorded a video to show me how to set up the catering containers and heaters. They even provided an extra dessert on the house.
Best of all, everyone LOVED the food. I attended another cousin's wedding in Atlanta 2 weeks later, and some of the people there even mentioned how good the food was. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend Spices of Himalaya to cater any event.
Vegetarian options: The vegeterian options were plentiful. It's one thing I love about Indian food!

Fantastic restaurant. Had tandoori fish, paneer makhani, vegetable samosa and garlic naan. The flavors, spices and freshness were extremely delicious. The best part was the service and hospitality.

Ok it's one of those places where service outshines the food. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but the waiter/owner was very friendly and spoiled us the night we were in.
My friend picked this restaurant for a quiet birthday dinner. It has a lot of good reviews too. I believe the waiter's name was Sean. He was so welcoming from the start. He made my friend feel special, talked to our husbands about music, and even started putting on music that we liked for us.
The food was very good. We started off on the small samosa appetizers and vegetable spring rolls. The samosas could have had a little more fillings but the spring rolls were good.
For dinner, we ordered vegetable biryani, chicken vindaloo, yellow lentils dal, and I believe a chana masala with garlic naan. All were delicious.
As a birthday treat, he surprised us and brought out a small chocolate cake with sliced gulab jamun on top! How awesome is that?
We had a lovely dinner and celebration thanks to Sean! Will definitely make our way back again soon.

Each dish was unique and delicious! The waiter helped us choose a variety of dishes and we were open to trying new things. We had a mix of veg dishes and meat dishes and all of them were amazing. One of our favorites was the Chicken kabob, it came out sizzling and the marinade was a burst of lemon and spices! We can’t wait to come back!

First experience here and will definitely return. Everything we ordered was delicious.
- My friend chugged down the Lassi Lemonade.
- Butter naan was light melts in your mouth.
Fresh, hot & delicious food. Service is friendly and very attentive. Best Indian food I've had including in India.
Dietary restrictions: I am allergic to cilantro. The resturant removed it from all my dishes!

Amazing food, great atmosphere, and exceptional customer service! We had the honey chili potatoes as an appetizer, lamb curry, kolhapuri chicken curry, chicken seekh kababs, and garlic nan. If you're in the area, you've gotta try this place.

If you're scrolling down for an 'Indian' reviewer, please take a moment to read this. The food is bland.
Malai Soya Chaap- This was the biggest disappointment, it says soya chaap- which are large chunks specially prepared with layers of soya. But what we got was the 'nutri' chunks. The gravy was okay, but the name is simply deceptive.
Goan chicken kabab- Absolutely the last thing to eat for dinner- chicken was dry, there was no hint of any marination and was completely bland. It totally lacked any complexity of spices and flabors, all I could taste was turmeric and yellow color.
Naan- this was the only saving grace- aloo stuffed naan were nice and so were garlic and butter naans.
Honey chilli potatotes- these were nice too, good level of flavors. No salt in the dish at all.
Overall, we ordered delivery, food was hot when arrived, but simply disappointed with all the flavors. Look elsewhere for Indian food options.
