A hidden gem of an Indian food restaurant! Everyone in our group agreed that the food was much better than other local Indian food restaurants we've been to in the area, and Sean who was serving us was a really awesome and attentive host!
Friendly and delicious food! The atmosphere was very welcoming and there's lots of great menu options! Get the mango lassi!
We've been coming to this Indian restaurant regularly, and it’s become a family favorite! The food is always delicious, and the staff is incredibly welcoming — they even remember our usual order, which makes us feel right at home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food at a great price, and a warm, personal touch.
It was so so
Can try vegetarian only.
I ordered chicken tikka masala and lamb saag for take out. This is really good Indian food! Best I’ve had in this area. The lamb saag is amazing and the tikka masala was creamy and well done. And they give a lot of protein in the dishes.
This place can be a hit and miss . Sometimes you could get the worst food possible and sometimes average .
Best Indian food in north county! Saah paneer and chicken tikki masala are to die for and come in very healthy portions. Sean was very prompt and gave great service. 5 stars!
SUPER FUN!
Honestly one of the worst food we have ever tasted in San Diego. We ordered veg fried rice, chilli paneer and gobi manchurian and literally had to throw it all away. It was covered in oil and the taste really bad. The veggies inside the fried rice were not even cooked, the sauces used for both entrees were so bad and the after taste was horrible too. I don’t understand why this place is highly rated. I won’t recommend this place.
I tried one of their chicken dishes and can't remember the name; however, it was so good that I had a second chicken entree. Also, they cook their basmati rice correctly which not an easy task by any means. Additionally, I liked our server because he was easy to talk to. This is now my top Himalayan food spot in Poway and Rancho Bernardo. A big thank you for a great lunch break to Spices of Himalaya!

I wish I had photos of the food, but it disappeared too quickly because it tasted so good! I ordered a lunch for one of my sister's wedding weekend events. The staff was able to help me determine how much food to order, and they helped me with some catering equipment last minute. When I ended up having to send someone else to pick up the food, they recorded a video to show me how to set up the catering containers and heaters. They even provided an extra dessert on the house.
Best of all, everyone LOVED the food. I attended another cousin's wedding in Atlanta 2 weeks later, and some of the people there even mentioned how good the food was. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend Spices of Himalaya to cater any event.
Vegetarian options: The vegeterian options were plentiful. It's one thing I love about Indian food!

Fantastic restaurant. Had tandoori fish, paneer makhani, vegetable samosa and garlic naan. The flavors, spices and freshness were extremely delicious. The best part was the service and hospitality.

Ok it's one of those places where service outshines the food. Don't get me wrong, the food is good but the waiter/owner was very friendly and spoiled us the night we were in.
My friend picked this restaurant for a quiet birthday dinner. It has a lot of good reviews too. I believe the waiter's name was Sean. He was so welcoming from the start. He made my friend feel special, talked to our husbands about music, and even started putting on music that we liked for us.
The food was very good. We started off on the small samosa appetizers and vegetable spring rolls. The samosas could have had a little more fillings but the spring rolls were good.
For dinner, we ordered vegetable biryani, chicken vindaloo, yellow lentils dal, and I believe a chana masala with garlic naan. All were delicious.
As a birthday treat, he surprised us and brought out a small chocolate cake with sliced gulab jamun on top! How awesome is that?
We had a lovely dinner and celebration thanks to Sean! Will definitely make our way back again soon.
