When we visit San Diego, we eat here at least 3 times.
We absolutely LOVE their bagels (they are heavenly and actually give you a good amount of cream cheese!)I love the look of their merch, my only complaint is that we visit yearly, every single year I try to get merch and they are always “sold out” 😔 I dunno how everything is always sold out every-time I ask the last 8 years.
Online they tend to be sold out as well the few times I have looked. It is such...read full review
I was staying at a hotel close to this coffee shop. It was our only option for coffee close to where we were staying. I had two cold brews on separate days. The first coffee had no ice. The second coffee was even worse. Again it had no ice and tasted super watery. The staff was really nice just didn’t have a good experience with the cold brew.

Spill the Beans Coffee and Bagels is a charming and modern coffee shop that offers a variety of delicious bagels, specialty drinks, and outdoor seating. The shop is known for its monthly specialty bagels, such as the hyped Prince Street collab pizza bagel, which is warm, fresh, and doughy, combining the flavors of pizza and a bagel. Customers highly recommend trying the bagel of the month before it’s gone, as it consistently delivers a satisfying and flavorful experience.
The café features a wide selection of coffee drinks, including decaf options and milk alternatives like oat, coconut, almond, and macadamia milk. Popular beverages include the chocolate-covered strawberry latte, which tastes like a strawberry and chocolate treat, and the decaf iced cinna-bee with vanilla cold foam, appreciated for its flavor and decaf option. The cold brew is available but may be a little watery, and some prefer a stronger brew.
Food-wise, the shop offers breakfast bagels like the thighmaster with jalapeno cheese bread and spicy sauces, as well as the San Dieggo on a sesame bagel, enjoyed with hot sauce. However, some bagels may not meet everyone's expectations; for instance, a bacon and white cheddar bagel with spicy vodka sauce was seen as plain, and the bagel wasn’t toasted enough for one customer. The bagels can be slightly pricey, but portions are generally good.
Outdoor seating is plentiful and perfect for warmer days, though it can be challenging to hear when calling your name outside. The service is friendly, with inside amenities like outlets for working and cute order number plaques. Overall, Spill the Beans is a great spot for bagels, coffee, and a relaxed atmosphere, with a few minor flaws that are easily overlooked.
