I was in San Diego for a conference. I told my friends I’d find the equivalent of our favorite neighbourhood pub (Canadian here). I googled Karaoke Bar (even though I don’t Karaoke). The service was great! Atmosphere was very friendly. I feel I definitely got the local experience! Exactly what I was hoping for! Also excellent prices compared to my hotel!

Was having a bad day and went to Star Bar to have a drink. That’s when I met a guy who works there named Amir or Ameer(not sure how to spell his name) Anyway he was so nice and funny and turned my day around for the better. I’ll definitely be back!

My rum and coke was $10. A great vibe. A great atmosphere. The service was good enough. I mean, pretty much the same as any other bar.... There were 2 pool tables and the bathrooms were clean so it's good in my book.
