I asked for a glass of water, but they refused, even though I go there every morning. I'll never set foot in that place again.

Went there early as was staying at a close by hotel and had jet lag. It opens at 5am which was great for me. So picked up a cappuccino and everything bagel. Staff were really friendly.
They will deny you iced water on one of the hottest days in San Diego if you don’t make a purchase. Asked to speak to manager, barista made a sour face. Manager also said I need to make a purchase and pointed to the bottle water for sale. I kindly asked again and asked why im being denied water? “Store policy” The store was not busy. Told the manager that my heart rate is up that I need just a little water, can you make an exception this time? Manger said “I will make this exception only once for you” all the customers were listening to this embarrassing interaction. I don’t feel well after this honestly. I spend hundreds of dollars each year just on gift cards to give out to first responders(will switch to IN and Out Burger gift cards) Im done with this company. No more.

Had a frustrating experience here. I ordered a Strawberry Frappuccino, and we ordered a Strawberry Matcha 5 minutes later. We got the first drink, but waited over 20 minutes for the second while others who ordered after us got theirs.
A staff member named Stef rudely told us we had already gotten our order and questioned why we were still waiting. Only after showing the receipt did they finally prepare the second drink.
The delay was on their side, but we were treated like it was our fault. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Their coffee has went down in quality dramatically, avoid and support your local coffee shops. Can’t even get free water.

Not sure why they don’t give water. In order to get that you need to make a purchase, not sure if this is violating Starbucks policy.

Please recognize the effort sergio contributes to this company. customer service superb.
I’m extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this Starbucks location. On a hot and sunny day, I was walking my dogs who were visibly overheated and dehydrated. Concerned for their well-being, I walked into this store and politely asked for a cup of water for them.
To my shock, the employee told me that they do not give out water unless I make a purchase. I explained that my dogs were in distress from the heat and simply needed water — a basic necessity. Despite this, the employee refused and showed no compassion or concern.
This isn’t just bad customer service — it’s inhumane. Denying water to any living being, especially in such conditions, is deeply disappointing. Starbucks brands itself as a community-oriented company, but this experience showed the opposite.
I urge others to think twice before supporting a location that prioritizes money over basic decency. Please do better.
Hand craft drink tastes varies each time.

Just a minute ago, some stupid cashier boy thought he could make his own policy to say that you have to purchase something to get a cup of water.
My daughter and I ordered drinks from here Saturday afternoon and it was quite literally the worst drinks we’ve had. I ordered a shaken iced tea and I saw the employee just pour the water, then tea and then ice into the cup. I asked for it to be shaken and they annoyingly said “okay”. My daughter order a chocolate chip Frappuccino, the same employee dumped a large amount of chocolate chips into the blender and didn’t seem to know how any of the measurements worked. My daughter could not drink the Frappuccino at all, it was absolutely too sweet. I highly recommend this employees be taught the recipes. On the bright side, my father order a hot white mocha, a different employee made that beverage and he said it tasted great.
