The team at the University & Richmond Starbucks deserves their own reality show. I mean seriously—every time I walk in, it’s like I’m the guest star of the episode. They don’t just know my name, they know my drink, my style, and my vibe. They gas me up about my outfits on the regular (instant confidence boost before coffee even hits).
And listen—I am not a morning person. Like, people before coffee? Absolutely not. But these are the first faces I see in the morning, and somehow, they make it bearable. More than bearable, they make it sweet. When it was my birthday, they even asked if they could sing to me—like, what kind of wholesome, Hallmark moment is that?!
I order online, so technically I’m just swooping in for a pick-up, but they still treat me like a VIP every single time. This isn’t just a Starbucks, it’s a little pocket of kindness and joy that makes my day. Love my U&R crew—you keep me caffeinated and cute.

Super inconsistent hours always closing for no reason

This is my first time to this location and 1000% will be back. The staff were so nice, greeted everyone who came in and just made it a super welcoming atmosphere- I think that’s huge since Starbucks is a chain and normally you don’t get the same vibe you’d get from a smaller mom & pop coffee shop. But they are doing great here!

Beware! I am beyond disappointed! I ordered a grande latte, only to receive a cup that was filled halfway with just foam. What on earth?! I took a sip, expecting a rich, creamy flavor, but it felt so light and airy. Curiosity got the better of me, so I removed the lid, and to my utter surprise, I was met with a sea of foam that completely overshadowed the coffee beneath.
