Located in the heart of Carmel ValleyThis Starbucks is located in a nice hoity-toity part of San Diego in the Del Mar Highlands Town Center. The interior is very spacious with regular and high tables and a long table. I ordered my usual Mocha Cookie Crumble and hubby shifted from his regular drink and had the Pumpkin Spice Frappe. Service was fast and employees were friendly. When the store is not busy a team member should come out and wipe down the tables, though. You will need a code if you want to use the bathroom. Starbucks increased prices in their computers, but not on their boards, thus charging customers more than what was posted. Workers apologized, but wouldn't honor the displayed price (illegal in California!). Hope corporate implements a better solution and training here. Do what's

This establishment just earned a new lifetime customer and all the glory goes to the exemplary barista, Abby. As I walked in for a nice cup o joe the taco bell munchie meal from the previous night began to strike. As I nervously clenched my way thru to the bathroom Abby must have noticed my quiet desperation. Out of her own good will she stood by the door the entire time assuring me that my suffering couldn’t be heard by the patrons on the other side. Top marks to Abby!

When I went into Starbucks, I ordered a grande black coffee as per usual. I took a sip of it before I'd left the register, and it was so hot I accidentally spat it into the cashier Abby's face. She assured me that customers do it all the time and promised me the scalding liquid would leave no serious burn damage. Thank you Abby!

The place was crowded early morning surprisingly! The baristas worked at good pace and got orders out in a timely manner. They had a huge area at the end of the bar with mobile orders that were just melting away, haha. How tragic for those people. The lady that took my order was really sweet, she informed me how many pumps go into the cafe latte and I ordered one less pump. I could have just went with one pump rather than two. They usually do three pumps for tall caffe latte. // iced cafe latte with two pump hazelnut syrup. It was overwhelmingly sweet and too milky for me. I'd never get this again. Lol, I don't know if they look at me and think I'm a child but for a while now the drinks keep coming out REALLLYY milky. I have a card so I came in, but next time I rather go to Philz nearby or Blue Bottle across the street.
Shoutout to Mr. Smith and Joe for helping me out with my special iced tea order today! They really went above and beyond with their creativity to meet my needs. I really appreciate their excellent customer service!

Had actually come here to meet someone but ended up getting a coffee because I had a gift card to use. Went for that new Cinnamon Caramel Cold Brew and it was lovely.Did modify it a little to make it healthy - two pumps of cinnamon caramel syrup, pump of sugar-free vanilla, splash of half and half.Really refreshing. Could have had it all in one go, and gone for a second one as well!
