I had a very disappointing experience at this Starbucks location SDSU ! When I placed my order, I asked about using my Starbucks Rewards. Instead of a polite explanation, I was told in a very dismissive manner, We don’t do points here because it’s part of the school. The delivery felt abrupt and unwelcoming, not the level of customer service I usually expect from Starbucks.
When I received my caramel macchiato, it had no texture and did not taste as it normally does. I mentioned this and was told, “That’s how it’s supposed to be made,” without any attempt to listen or help. I’ve ordered caramel macchiatos many times at different locations, so I know this was not typical.
There was no offer to remake the drink, adjust it, or show any concern. I even asked if I could get Splenda to sweeten it myself, just to give her a change to fix the drink.Overall, there was no effort to resolve the issue or provide basic customer care.

Remodeled and modern looking. They'll have my order quick despite it being full all the time

No seating? Trash.
So I just got a filter coffee it came cold. Then I ordered an Americano instead, thinking it’d be better, and guess what? Also cold and tasteless coffee. I’m pretty sure they gave me a single shot instead of a double — it tastes way too watery… how hard is it to serve a coffee? I’m paying that much and can’t even get one warm black coffeecup. Is this a joke??

Occasionally, I come here to get a quick breakfast sandwich. Today, I realized that I could have been scanning my Starbucks card to get points. So I asked the cashier about it and mentioned that they had a poster up that was confusing regarding points and scanning. The cashier and barista informed me in a not very nice way that they are not a corporate store, and I can't scan my card there. No big deal on scanning points, it's no skin off my back. But I felt like the rudeness about my asking was unwarranted. When I went to pick up my sandwich, I said thank you because I appreciate those who prepare food. Today I was ignored. I now understand this isn't a 'corporate store,' and that may be why the customer service isn't up to par.

Workers were rude and had an attitude more expensive than a normal Starbucks in my Matcha was 90% ice and they don’t have a bathroom

I asked for 5 water cups but just the cups because wanted to save them the labor of pouring it for no reason. But she said she would have to charge me for the plastic. Logically that doesn’t make sense because if I would have asked for 5 water cups and they made them, it would’ve been free. How does that make sense. Awful service.

No clue why they dont service people in the order they come. Two people got their orders with food after me and I only ordered a drink. They were also socializing the entire time.
The drinks always come out fast when the store is empty. I love getting the peach green tea lemonade w extra peach juice and the sausage egg and cheddar sandwich!

Used to study here in college. Sad to see how unwelcoming its become. No bathroom, no table, no chairs. Just a money maker now. No thought for community. SDSU do better.
