As a longtime customer at this location for over 25 years, I'm sad to see it close, but it's about time because it's been absolutely run into the ground over the past few months by the new manager Bonnie Taylor. When a sexual predator and violent homeless man, who has been on a recent crime spree in the village of La Jolla, was walking into this Starbucks location, I went to go notify a Police Officer in the store who was waiting for his latte. Law Enforcement had been looking for him, so I was providing a positive identification and a report to the Police Officer. Then, the new Manager Bonnie Taylor began to antagonize the officer and I and tell us to leave the homeless man alone because she has "never had a problem with him." She was rude, disrespectful, & absolutely unprofessional as she made faces, laughed at me, and told me to "go ahead" and contact her District Manager She was relentless in her antagonism and suppression of my civil right as a citizen to report a sexual predator and violent menace in the community in which I live. As President of the local Homeless Task Force, I personally know and serve every one of the homeless unsheltered residents of my community. Unfortunately, this individual is different in that he has violently attacked elderly women in the streets, and he is wanted by Law Enforcement. I was doing my civic duty, yet Bonnie in a very arrogant and ignorant fashion aided & abetted the sexually violent predator, while attempting to bully the Police Officer and myself into silence. The new Manager Bonnie Taylor should be absolutely ashamed of herself and needs to realize that she could potentially be charged with Obstruction of Justice and Intimidation of a Witness, which are both Misdemeanors in the State of California and City of San Diego. I immediately notified the District Manager, however I have yet to receive a response. Other members of the community have also shared incidents where Bonnie's behavior was unbecoming of a Manager and more becoming of a bartender in a Jerry Springer trailer park. So long Starbucks store #5387, I'm sad to say, but good riddance!...

Such a cute area and patio but the slowest workers ever :/ waited 30 minutes for a cold brew, saw they're extremely casual with time with how they walk around not doing much. Seems like there's a huge lack of communication.

Just had the worst experience here, a homeless man claiming to be in a cartel. Had exclamations and caused a scandal to the point I had to call Alexa the manager. She said the homeless man comes here all the time. He wasn't a paying costumer, I went outside but he continued to make a scandal. I asked him to leave me alone and yet he didn't. As I walked outside of the property he chased me. And I had to use my staff to keep him at bay. Police were called but never showed up.

Stopped at 8:14 to grab a coffee before work at 9. Asked at 8:30 and got my coffee a 8:55. Definitely the unapologetic DMV of Starbucks'. I didn't say anything or make a scene because honestly its just a cup of coffee but a simple "sorry we forgot to make it" would've smooth the whole thing over.

Generally super efficient service and friendly cashiers and baristas. There are plenty of indoor and outdoor tables and comfy chairs.
