Have been coming here for years and it is always slightly worse every time. The only reason I come back is that there are no other Mongolian bbq in San Diego. This last visit though is the straw that broke the camels back. Customer service continues to be horrible. The girl at the front asked me how many and then just walked away without saying anything. The cookers had there fingers all over my noodles when they held my bowl and also when they finished cooking my food and do not wear gloves. The final nail straw is the way the price of a single bowl has risen. It is now slightly over $20. Way too overpriced for what you get. The sesame bread used to be free but now costs you .50 cents for each one you order. This place used to be decent for the price, but is now way too expensive! Last time coming here BYE!!

The service was amazing and super attentive. I didn’t catch the guy’s name, but he also brought us some sesame bread to try (super nice and friendly!) as well as a few pointers to squish down the bowl haha. My only qualm is that I do wish there was more flavor to the sauces, they were quite bland which translated to a mediocre plate which would have been amazing otherwise. I know some other Mongolian grills add extra soy sauce while they are cooking it, so that could be a solution? Amazing otherwise!

I have family nearby so when coming into town I always visit this place. When I lived here, the perfect afternoon was Stir Fresh and the library next door, and timing it between lunch and dinner rush.
Things have slightly changed, so it's not quite the deal it once was but the food is still very good.
if you don't like spicy food, I would suggest asking the cooks to scrape the grill before cooking it. I've taken my aunt here and have had to switch plates with her because someone really piled on the Dragon spicy oil (or whatever it's called.)
I love the leftovers too.

We arrived after 7:30pm and most of the meat were gone except beef. And they have sauce chart but some sauces were almost empty when we arrived that there wasn’t enough sauce in my stir fry and the taste was off. It would be better if they also have premade sauce for those who can’t find the ratio right.
At least I’ve tried the food and I know how it is now. I won’t go again tho.

The food was great but what really made this experience extraordinary was Alton’s attentive service. He was terrific!

First off... go. Eat. Mangia mangia!!!
Food was phenomenal. The (salad? Noodle? Grill?) bar was very complete, with flavor profiles for almost everyone (cause there's always one freak who won't ever be satisfied). Everything on the bar was fresh. The pork wasn't too fatty, the beef wasn't fatty at all (which makes my doctor happy. I really don't understand why she wants me to live longer. Without fat. Or sugar. Or happiness), and the lamb. Oh the lamb. So good. Mushrooms, tomatoes, onions... all good stuff. Sauce selection was very good. Make sure your partner from nebraska gets the dragon sauce. Tell her that "dragon" is a brand. Then eat hers.
The drinks are drink-y, nothing special. The sesame bread is perfect to spp up the bowl goo. We also had a dessert with a brownie in the bottom, then cheesecake, all covered in chocolate; very nice.
Tables and chairs were clean. Try to get a booth, cause the chairs were as hard as my first wife's heart.
Bathrooms are the only markdown. They weren't dirty... they just weren't clean. And the men's had a wet floor. Im assuming because it was just mopped. But who knows.
Anyway, you'll enjoy it!

Is run by mexicans, not chinese, the meat & fish are “low quality”, all the sauces have way too much oil, the rice is very dry…that explains WHY the place is empty on a Holiday afternoon at the peak of dinner time. I’m never coming back.?
