Great little joint that I stopped at while on vacation. Parking looks like it can be a challenge during peak hours. However, it was easy to get in and out on a Monday morning. Food was well presented, tasted great, didn't break the bank, staff was wonderful, and food only took 10 minutes at most to come out after ordering. I loved the decor and vibes and if I'm in SD again, this will be on the return to list. If the owners read this, please let the staff know that they were fantastic (AM shift of 2/23/26)

For a diner, this is a great choice. Prices might be a little high, but the portions are very large and the food is very tasty.

I always wanted to try this place since I saw it open alot during the graveyard shift. They aren't open for that shift any longer.
It's a diner and was very diner like. I had a Classic Rubin, Draft Belgian Ale, and a coffee.
The Rubin wasn't fancy, but it doesn't need to be. It had a good proportion of corned beef, sauerkraut, and dressing. Maybe a little heavy on the sauerkraut. The bread wasn't Rye, but it had a good texture and taste that went well with the sandwich. It was flexible enough to hold everything in while I ate not leaving much on the plate.
The fries were golden with a good crunch to them and a fluffy inside. They were lightly salted. Just what I would want out of a fry.
They used a cup specific for the beer, and the draft wasn't watered down.
The coffee I got was the last one of that brew. It was fantastic. No sour or burnt taste, seemed like a good medium roast. I drank it black unsweetened.
Pricing is a little high, but not outside the ordinary for this class of restaurant.

I was recommended this place by a former colleague, and it did not disappoint. Although it’s small, there’s plenty of parking available. The staff greeted us promptly and were incredibly accommodating, especially considering we had little ones with us. The food was absolutely delicious; we highly recommend it! On this visit, I tried the BLT sandwich, which was made with fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, crispy bacon, and mayo, served on your choice of wheat or white bread, along with a side of fries. My daughter ordered the meal that included three mini hamburgers and fries, while my three little ones enjoyed cheeseburgers with fries. Overall, the food was fantastic, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit!

Outside back deck the place to dine. Had a great breakfast. Lots of fun old movie memorabilia inside this cool building. Good breakfast stop. Busy stop so give yourself ample time, but great service

First time I was disappointed with the food. To the point of not returning to the restaurant. I drive 70+ miles round trip.

The caesar salad was limp lettuce! The turkey was mealy and the gravy tasteless. The string beans were ok.

I got the Bacon Cheeseburger Chop Salad! On 18 bucks! Chopped iceberg, diced grilled burger, diced tomato, bacon, diced pickles, diced onion, brioche croutons, shredded cheese and 1000 island dressing. I asked for them to saute and caramelize the onions and they did that with no issues. It was a slow day and got to sit outside with no issues with service.

The food was good, a little on the greasy side but definitely an American experience. If you love movies, this place has a lot of movie references and a studio in it's backyard.

Great service and atmosphere but the food was horrible. I love to eat can't say I ever left a plate so full. Same for my wife didn't even want to take it to go.
