No good. Not sure how this place stays open. They really shouldn’t call their food sushi… it is not.

I’m not sure what I expected from a restaurant apparently named by Ralph Wiggum. The rolls were fine, but the staff is awful. When they’re the slightest bit busy, they’ll walk around you like you’re furniture, even if you’re just trying to grab one of the premade containers. Even if they’re slow, you have to practically tackle someone and force them to take your money. They just hide behind the counter.

Oh dear. I wanted to like it because the people were sweet. But. Gyoza were so bad. Bland. Chewy like they could have been reheated in microwave. Spicy tuna roll was very bland. Su su sushi is not quite so so.

The eel wasn’t even cooked, gray like it was microwaved not grilled. The avocado is hard. The texture was strange. We took one bite and paid and left. We hope we don’t get food poisoning.

Delightful
My parents wish they had time to review this restaurant so I’m going to help them with what they told me. Owners, I hope you read this today so you know exactly who was served what and maybe make a change that can cost someone’s health.
First off, they didn’t even get water. They had to ask a few times. So first roll came through. It looked and felt frozen, as if it was an old roll they had sitting, couldn’t even eat it. Did not looked prepped right then and there The second roll was essentially the same, but when he bit into it, he couldn’t even tear through it, it was so tough or old. I don’t understand how this is possible. They sent it all back and left so disappointed.
They eat Sushi everywhere and have had bad sushi before but typically it’s not because it’s frozen or chewy like this. I’ve never heard a complaint about presentation (how old the rolls looked) until now. They were shocked by the orders that people were coming in to pick up as if the place was good. They either stiffed my parents with old food or people don’t know the difference between good and bad sushi. Either way, congrats on the terrible experience, we’ll make sure to hit the gas station sushi before ever going near your place.

Walked in there with my wife at 430pm on a Sunday so I get if the service is slow. But we didn't even get acknowledged or had our water until 445pm without saying a word. Just dropping water off and then disappearing like we didn't exist. We just left at 455pm after not being acknowledged once again. What kind of joint has a service like this? Had 3 tables that were all served and we never got a hello from anyone. Not busy at all so just bad experience all around. Maybe food is good but I guess we'll never find out with the service like that

Neighborhood staple. Reasonable price and high quality. A rarity in these parts.

The food was great but the service could have been better
New to the area and wanted to grab a quick bite. Considering the prices of the meals, this place really surprised me! Staff was friendly and food came in quicker than I thought (there were only two workers). If you’re craving sushi but don’t want to go all out on the bill, this is a good spot.

Got sushi to go to the other day as I wanted to try this place. It’s very basic sushi, it’s almost a clone of what you would find at the sushi bar at Ralphs or Vons.
For the same price one could pick up basic rolls at Lazy Acres and the fish and rice be better quality. The atmosphere is quaint enough in there and nice location by the park… but go to have a beer (they have a bar bar) but go somewhere else for sushi or just hit the grocery store if that’s your expectations for the evening.
