First time eating here tonight. My partner and I love Indian food places/Himilayan food places. We decided to give this place a try since we got an advertisement for it in the mail. The food wasn't horrible but it had some weird off tangy flavors, as some others have mentioned in their reviews, that both my partner and I have not experienced before. The 2 entrees we recieved also tasted as if they were made with canned tomatos or sauce that overwhelmed the dishes. I don't think we will be back.
Best Indian restaurant in SD. Simple and small, but great food.
Good Indian cuisine used to be hard to come by in Point Loma. You had to go elsewhere in San Diego. Not anymore. Run don't walk, to Sundara!!!
We ordered paneer tikka masala and dal makhani for dinner. We picked up the food, not dine in. It had a weird taste. Very tangy. Both curries were not fresh and very possibly cooked using canned tomatoes or gravy base instead of fresh ingredients. Never going back. We were really craving for Indian flavors and reviews were great but it was a big disappointment.
flavors are odd, doesn’t have the normal taste to them. will give it another try dine in
Just moved here and am so happy I found this restaurant. Some of the best Indian food I have eaten. The tandoori chicken and Chana masala had the perfect amount of flavor and spices. Had to force myself to stop eating and save some for later. The mint chutney and yogurt sauce are out of this world. Love it. Will be visiting Sundara a lot in the future.
The place has a good atmosphere. Ambience reminds me of San Diego's scene.
Wow, but really wow! This place has the best Indian food in San Diego! Spicy levels were on point and all the dishes just packed with flavor. Tandoori chicken A+, moist and nicely roasted. Tikka masala and vindaloo ~ deeeeelicious! We also got the garlic, cheese naan and crispy roti. But wait, there’s more! You must concluded this feast with their masala sugar dusted samosas filled dark chocolate and toffee bits. Need I say more?? Go check it out!
This place never fails to deliver. They have excellent dishes for reasonable pricing, there are no long waits even when the spot is full.
I got take out here one night and it was fantastic. I especially enjoyed the Mulligatawny soup and samosas. Chutneys were fabulous too. Order took a little longer than stated, but they were working hard and it was worth the wait!

I visit this lovely spot often! This is the best place to dine. I go to this spot routinely. The food is excellent, the staff members are friendly and the prices are good. I like going in this restaurant for a good dinner.
service is always awesome even when they have a full house. looking forward to returning with my relatives. this place has an awesome atmosphere. reminds me of a restaurant in philadelphia that i enjoyed.
Great location to chill, eat some good food. The service here is attentive. The bill was appropriate for the quality. Kinda of like a place in Houston that I enjoyed.
Staff is always super even when they have a full house. Service is typically good. Prices were fair for the quality of the food.
