We’ve been itching to try this spot for awhile and so glad we braved the crowd and parking situation. Everything was fantastic from the biscuit sandwiches to the coffee!

The moment we pulled up and saw the quaint cottage style restaurant, we knew we made the right choice. The biscuits are fluffy and delicious. The fried chicken came in monster portions and was so juicy. This is 100% a stop everything we are in SD (especially so close to the zoo).

Great loaded biscuits. Parking is hit or miss, good luck...but their biscuits are pretty good

Service was very kind and waited until we arrived to make our coffees so they were hot. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with all the food. The fried chicken was very bland, the gravy was bland, and the peach/cinnamon roll was dry, lacked flavor, and overall very lackluster.

This place has some of the best biscuits I’ve tried in San Diego! Tucked in a corner off Park Blvd., SunnyBoy is serving breakfast biscuits and lunch goodness for dine in or take out. They also serve really great pastries and coffee. Would highly recommend this spot. Outdoor patio is dog friendly!

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE‼️‼️‼️ Best biscuits and gravy in San Diego, absolutely no contest. The mother clucker is my usual go to. They recently started serving burgers on certain days for a few hours. They are up there, definitely top 5. The owner is an amazing man. You can tell he is very passionate about his restaurant. He said a lot of the recipes are old family recipes, and that he did a lot of the design of the place himself during the shut-down during covid. A usual spot for me.

Great little place the biscuits with rosemary chicken egg and cheese was bomb! Believe me when I say that I was lixking my fingers and the dish to get every bit of that last tastes. This was my first visit, but goodness knows it won't be my last. Oh, and the staff was awesome, so polite.

Food was horrible and they microwaved rolls and killed it and so over rated plus it has sitting outdoors for 4 people but honestly I will never go back

As a native of the southeastern United States it’s kinda hard to impress me with biscuits but Sunnyboy definitely impressed me. We ordered two egg sandwiches, one with bacon and one with the rosemary fried chicken. Both options were exceptional, I honestly might have to flip a coin on which one to choose next time I visit Sunnyboy. A side of gravy, rosemary potatoes and the peach biscuit brûlée rounded out our order. The perfect bite was adding the gravy to your sandwich and then dousing it with their 7 Pepper Hot Sauce, amazing. I did not want our sandwiches to finish. The peach brûlée while decadent, which is all ask for in a sweet dish, lacked a little depth and was a bit dry. Nonetheless, the flavors were all there. Wash it down with a black coffee or in my wife’s case, a salted caramel mocha, and you’re all set. We’ll definitely be back to try some of the pastry items.

We stumbled across Sunnyboys looking for a breakfast spot in the area and I am so glad we came here.
The service was great, friendly staff. The food was incredible you can tell everything is made fresh and in house.
They have indoor and outdoor seating. The Orange Juice was freshly squeezed and bottled so it's easier to grab and go.
We both had breakfast sandwiches both were delicious. If you're in the area give them a visit you won't be disappointed.
