Super Dumpling

A bit over sauced and sugared for my liking.

We had the Mongolian beef, pan fried potstickers, long bao sampler, and bbq pork bao buns. And it was delicious! It was very flavorful and the Mongolian beef chow main was my favorite. Everyone was very nice and quick and it was reasonably price for the amount of food and quality. The broth that the dumplings was cooked in was very savory and I wanted to keep eating even though I was very full. We will be coming back!

This is a very good Chinese restaurant. The Mapo Tofu and Chongqing Spicy Chicken showcase the chef's skill. Sophia's service was impeccable. Her dedication to service made it feel no different from the service at a Michelin-starred restaurant. I will definitely be back.

Waitress pushing stinky leftover collection bins between tables while people are eating.

Do not try this restaurant, their menu is misleading to say the least.

This is such a great addition to Carmel Valley. No need to drive to Convoy Street for great Chinese food, when Super Dumpling is right here. They have authentic Chinese food with a large menu of items. There’s an open glass kitchen where you can watch the dumplings being made all day.

Very slow service. Took over 30 minutes to get our food and the food was not that good. Not worth the wait at all.

Super Dumpling is tucked inside this plaza and at first glance you wouldnt expect a really great dumpling place to be here, but best believe, I'm coming back even if this place is out of the way from where I live!!

FIRST OF ALL, I can confidently say that I recommend EVERYTHING we ordered. Something I cannot stop thinking about is their fried lamb w cumin and eggplant w garlic sauce. WOW! We had a ton of leftovers as you can imagine but eating the lamb and eggplant with a bowl of warm rice was seriously like a warm hug.

For a place that has only been open for a lil over 2 months, they are serving up some delicious food!!

I really like their pork xiao long bao and beef chow fun. The skin of the xiao long bao is a little too thick on the top but the dumpling is really juicy. Would definitely go back for a quick meal.

The atmosphere was pleasant and the food didn’t disappoint. It got pretty crowded during Saturday lunch. The dumplings were tasty, and the standout for me was the General Tao's Chicken—definitely my favorite.

Ate here when it first opened and I got really sick. Spent a whole day throwing up pink orange chicken juice. Never been more sick from food in my life 💕

I’ve had the food before and i liked what i tried but you’ve GOT to fix your web ordering or start answering the phone for to go orders . I’ve tried on my phone with apple pay, then filling in the card information using a credit card, then trying my debit card, and then tried my cc and debit on a computer when all that didn’t work. Don’t give me that “make sure everything is accurate” either my card information is saved on my autofill and i’ve never had a problem with any online ordering till this site.

Hey super dumpling can you please answer your phone? Been trying for weeks

Web ordering not open for business. Their website lets you build your order but won’t let you check out. It says “zip code does not match card”. I know my zip code. I tried on 2 consecutive days with 3 different cards: Amex, Visa, then Mastercard.

First day I called and they said “please try again in 10 minutes”. Second day I tried again, and called the number twice. No answer, then get an automated message saying “Voice mailbox has not been set up. Goodbye.”

Don’t bother trying to web order.

UPDATE: I was picking up food at another restaurant in the same complex and saw Super Dumpling was packed. People seemed happy. Very busy. So apparently this place is in good standing for in person dining, but the online ordering experience is still at ground zero.

Based on what I saw, upgrading rating from 1 star to 3 stars. Will review further once I actually get to try the food.
