Better than expected for sure. I was pleasantly surprised, thinking this would be something between a hole in the wall diner and a Rubios. Turned out way better. Food was great, place was hoppin, full bar, plenty of service staff, etc. Only place I can even think to say they could have been a step better would be seating; it was clearly built for cleanliness over comfort where a combo would have been nice. 👍🏼 Great job to the owners.

I went for a late lunchon a Tuesday around 3pm to try this place out. I ordered the catfish and chips, the kids shrimp and chips, and a cup of chowder to go. The total was approx $25. The cashier said it would be about 15 minutes. I like how they didn't ask if you wanted to leave a tip, you just had to tap and pay.
The place was empty except for 1 group and a guy outside so I had choice of seats to sit and wait for my order. My order was ready in less than 15 minutes and the guy brought it to the table where I was sitting, thanks me for coming in, and said he hoped to see me again soon. The customer service here is excellent.
The kids shrimp fries consisted of 2 butterflied shrimp like you would get in the supermarket, but they were a little bit bigger and had no taste whatsoever. They didn't include any tarter sauce or ketchup, but did give you plenty of fries.
The catfish plate came with 2 nice sized pieces of catfish that were seasoned very well, on a bed of plenty of grench fries, and a generous portion of their slaw. They included tarter sauce and cocktail sauce, but no ketchup, napkins, or silverware to eat the slaw with.
Lastly, let's talk about the clam chowder. Oh my God, I haven't had such good chowder in so long. I wish I would have ordered the bowl instead of the cup, I definitely will come back here get the chowder and the catfish plate because they were both outstanding. Plus you can't beat the great customer service.

Our first time visiting this place and we were 100% happy with everything. We ordered fried calamari, spicy shrimp linguine, and Barramundi with veggies and rice. The food came out fast and was delicious. The restaurant is clean and cute. The price is very reasonable which is rare to find these days. The staff was also friendly. We will come back soon to try other dishes. Please come try their food and support their business.

All the food has been stellar so far. Give the chefs and line chefs a raise! Likely to keep coming back here for the poke and tacos

Not enough staff to handle orders with LONG wait. Del Mar location is way better, even when buzy

My friends and I had lunch there - the seafood cioppino, quinoa salad and poke on crispy rice served on the outdoor patio. All were delicious! We ordered them as shareable dishes and were happy with the freshness and portion sizes. My two friends thought that it was so good that they came back with me 😂 10/10 would come back.

Food was great. You gotta love seafood they do have a few chicken options. The prices for seafood were great! Place was pretty busy. You order at the counter and then sit down and they bring it to you.

Food: The fish was fresh but overcooked.
Service: Counter order the table delivered, efficient and timely.
Atmosphere: Nice bar area with a beachy vibe. The tables are decently spaced, yet the metal chairs clatter on the flooring. When busy, which it was when we dined, it is so noisy that conversation is almost impossible. Nice patio but there were no open tables for two.

I tried the Maui poke bowl and it was one of the best poke bowls I've had here in San Diego. Generous portions of fish and other toppings.
There were actual chunks of fish instead of mush I've gotten from other places. Absolutely delicious!

Food is good, just fresh good.
If you want to avoid tip and service charges, this is the place to go to get quick, decent good seafood plates.
Drinks and beer also are satisfying

We love this place! Happy hour is awesome with 2 dollar tacos for example. Choose grilled or fried fish. You get a generous serving of fish and it is delicious. 2 tacos fills you up. If super hungry order 3.

The service is consistently excellent, the food is always delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Whether it’s happy hour or not, the prices are fair and the quality is top-notch. Definitely 5 stars — no doubt!
