If i could.give a negative rating I would. Save your money and avoid this place. Horrible, cold, precooked food.

Nice and casual sushi spot at a reasonable price. It's not the best quality fish, but they have a vast selection of creative rolls and other items on the menu so anyone can find something to eat. the sushi sampler special - it changes each month! Great for kids and families! The service is amazing too - super attentive and friendly staff.

This location is Definetly better than the Kearney Mesa location. Decent sushi if on a budget and good value. Not as fresh and delicious as other places but for more than half the cost it's worth it. Service tonight was a little lackluster. The server kept running away to get something and then would come back without it. They were busy so that could be part of it. Lots of indoor seating

Sushi Deli was alright. I didn't love my experience here. I thought it was very average. There was a decently long wait time to be seated. Our server wasn't very attentive, which is not all their fault, it was busy and they seemed to be understaffed. It would probably be much more worth it for happy hour. I'd be open to coming back but not for the full price rolls. San Diego is hard got some great sushi spots that are tough to compete with which is a large reason I wasn't impressed.

I have been to this specific restaurant once before at this location. Area is busy, parking is hard to find. I went on a Friday at around 3ish. Dining area was not full. I was seated right away. Order taken within rhe first 3 minutes of sitting down. Waitress had great attitude and checked on me regularly. Had a great time , happy, satisfied with the plate of rhe month, enough food. Same great flavor. The best miso soup in SD.

Never tire of coming here I drive all the way from valley center for the miso soup. Excellent food. Get the garlic edamame but have them sprinkle the lemon zest on it as well. You'll thank me later.

I had a pretty decent lunch here. It's decent for a variety of reasons. 1. Because the price won't cost you an arm and a leg. 2. There's a ton of options on the menu 3. The menu changes each month to reflect what's happening with the seasons or holidays 4. It's never overly busy but just a good amount of foot traffic to make you feel like this is a decent spot to stop. 5. Service is quick. I spend just about a hour here or less each time. There are things however that won't ever make this spot more than a 3. 1. Although there are a ton of sushi options. I feel like most of them revolves around salmon or tempura. I'd love some more variety there. 2. Although the staff is nice. We repeatedly spoke Spanish to our waitstaff. Since it's our native tongue. And they responded back to us in English. But then we heard them speak Spanish to everyone around us. 3. The ambience is okay. Nothing too spectacular. I do like the back wall which had bamboo on it. 4. The food was decent. It was good for the price we paid but if it was a dollar or two more. I would have given this place a two star. We had the miso soup, monkey brains appetizer, shipwreck roll, and the motion in the ocean roll. Monkey brain was my favorite out of all of them. The rolls I ordered, I probably wouldn't order again. I didn't really care for them. After two or three of each, I pretty much got the point. It wasn't a strong profile or unique taste. But after finishing a roll and two appetizers, I did feel satisfied. 3 stars no more no less. For 40 bucks, it was a decent lunch and im certain that I could have found much worse places to head to.

The best bang for your buck is right here. The fusion and creativity brings out the best flavors. The versatility is right on and the drink specials are on point.

This is a great spot in Hillcrest for sushi and Japanese food!! They have daily specials on food, and rotating monthly specials. There's also happy hour M-F, 3-6pm with specials on food and alcohol.I believe this is the original location, as there's another location in the Convoy area as well

Sushi Deli is a solid restaurant option. Menu is quite extensive and lots of non sushi options for that person who doesn’t eat sushi. Habenero roll was really good and service is excellent. This place gets busy, so plan accordingly and little to no parking. Definitely return.
