Very solid experience here, can't believe we had never been. Service was great, food came out fast, our server had good recommendations and everything was reasonably priced. Crispy garlic tofu, homemade veggie curry, hamachi kama, and a specialty roll (blood orange yellowtail). All 4.5-5 stars!

This is the best quality sushi in San Diego! I have been looking for excellent sushi in the San Diego area for years, and sushi exchange is absolutely delicious, high quality, and affordable! I have tried nearly every sushi restaurant in the Convoy food district which is famed for excellent Asian food, and sushi exchange is the most delicious I have had in the city, even better the upscale places in Convoy!
The atmosphere was excellent, with kind and quick service. Servers were very helpful! The TVs in the background were playing a range of options that were all appropriate for kids but still entertaining for adults. They had on some studio ghibli, some sports, and some live action films.
The sushi was incredibly fresh, both the fish and the vegetables tasted high quality and were prepared lovingly. The sauces were phenomenal and tasted like they were made in house! We got five sushi rolls, I really enjoyed the Dynamite roll, the scallops were absolutely perfectly prepared! We also had the dragon roll in the caterpillar roll, the eel on it was the perfect consistency, which is hard to find in the area.
We also really liked the seasonal options the marry me and the animal world! We tried the Miso Butter Mac n Cheese and it was absolutely delicious! Perfectly balanced, just the right degree of richness and a really satisfying texture as well. I absolutely cannot wait to bring more friends to sushi exchange and it will be my go-to restaurant for any reason from now on!
Parking: There is plenty of easily accessible parking.
Kid-friendliness: The space is very kid friendly, and fun movies are playing in the background! When I visited the store was playing Studio Ghibli's whisper of the heart :)
Wheelchair accessibility: All tables are easily wheelchair accessible, and there is a short ramp up to the sidewalk to the door.

This restaurant is so good! I’ve never eaten here but I’ve gotten food to go and had it delivered a few times. I ordered on Postmates and I love the set up! I like to customize my sushi a lot; add cream cheese etc. And usually you have to write in a request and cross your fingers that the restaurant will see it. But here there were actual buttons to add items or leave them out or even request the roll deep fried. It’s so cool!
The Ramen and Dumplings are delicious. And I love the Dragon Roll. It has a really yummy smoked flavor. I definitely can’t wait to try more things!

This is my favorite sushi place of all time. The food is amazing every time and I love the ambiance. The servers are always so nice and accommodating. It's a great place to bring my toddler because they have movies playing which keeps her entertained and she loves the food too. The pricing is extremely reasonable and absolutely can't be beat for the quality you get. My favorite is the lemon cilantro roll but we've tried a lot of things on their menu and everything has been great.
