I've lived in San Diego for 9 years, in my opinion this is the freshest as well as some of the more creative sushi I've had! I only discovered it recently but I keep going back and so far have not been disappointed! Not a big place and not fancy, super simple, the sushi chefs are very engaging and the wait staff are pleasant. Reservations suggested as it gets busy quickly and they don't have that many tables especially inside. Recommended the Sushi Fish Attack Stack...
This place is so good. My sister and I got a couple rolls and some beers, and the Japanese beers paired so well with the sushi. Our favorites were the albacore 911 and the mango mango. The parking lot is a tad crowded, and a lot of the customers around us were grouchy old people giving the staff a hard time over silly things. The place was really cozy, though, with chill, oldies music, and the staff was very friendly.

The food was great. I has the deep fried “Vegas roll” jalapeño bomb and the deep fried soft shell crab. Great atmosphere and good vibes.
