I don’t ordinarily post negative reviews, but I felt like this needed to be addressed. I’ve been to this location many times. The food is consistent and a decent quality/quantity. The service is usually good as well. Today, I brought my service dog and had an entirely different experience. From the moment I walked up, they told me I’d be eating outside. It is in the 50’s, and I was not dressed to eat outside. I let them know he was a service dog. I was told to wait, and they returned with three staff who very confrontationally demanded to know what tasks he is trained to do. I let them know, and we were led to a table. He went under the table and lay down, as he is trained to do. From that point on, we were very uncomfortable. All the staff glared at our table, and even the food was not the normal portion. I’m including a photo of the veggie tempura because we were shocked at how tiny it was compared to our usual portion. I think anyone with a disability who plans to eat at this establishment should know up front you will be made to feel very unwelcome. What is normally a comfortable dining experience was very unpleasant.

I've been going to this place and stopped about 3 years ago. I finally visited again and was disappointed with the food. Sushi was great but fried calamari was tough and dry. Edamame was ok and spicy tuna roll was fine.....just fuel.

Between price, quality, and quantity - Sushi Kuchi just makes sense! Most rolls are 50% off!I used to live in PB and now live in Mission Valley - I've been lucky to have a Sushi Kuchi conveniently located during both locations!Service is quick! Some of my top favorite rolls are: For tempera - stars wars roll, the warmth and cream cheese is the best combo!. For raw - Hawaiian Roll and Dragon Roll. Overall they have a pretty impressive large menu - WITH PHOTOS (I know that's helpful when places have creative names and you're not sure what to really expected based on the description). My only annoyance is sliced lemons cost $1, this must be a commonly asked thing because the location in Mission Valley started to post signs on there walls stating this. For disclosure - I love to squirt lemon on my sushi ,it brings out the flavors! But don't worry, no additional cost for extra sauces, ginger or wasabi! The vibe in PB is alot more young, fun, loud, busy, and live. The one is mission valley and get quiet busy as well but the vibe is a bit more relax. PB location is definitely alot tighter; traditionally sized sushi spot. The location in mission valley is much larger and has a nice outdoor patio. There's a tablet in the front "to add yourself to the waitlist" although I've never really waited more than 5-7minutes.

Off the chain ??. All THE INGREDIENTS ARE AND TASTE FRESH ??!!. You don't feel rushed when ordering, The waiters / Servers are very kind & friendly and they all check you randomly while eating. Tbh every employee including the sushi chefs are nice. The bathroom is very clean I mean spotless like momma is watching over your back ??. The portions are filling and the sushi rolls are thick with a nice size to them. GET THE STUFFED JALAPEÑO'S ???
Bento boxes are a great deal, the photo I attached is of the teriyaki beef, not pictured is the miso soup they also give with the order. I previously had a sushi lunch special which was also great.Parking: Busy at lunch time, also Costco fuel line blocks driveway even though it says keep clear.

This place was alright overall. The food wasn't anything super great but they did have some really good garlic edamame. The softshell crab was just all breading, no meat. Everything else I tried was just ok. Service was good and staff were friendly and engaging.
Sushi Kuchi was a favorite sushi restaurant when we lived in Mission Valley. We have since moved 25 minutes away, and they are still our favorite and worth the drive. The specialty rolls have a generous portion and are excellent! Our favorites are Tuna Tataki and House roll. The staff is always very friendly and provide great service.
