The experience was overall mid, I could really taste the difference in the quality of the sushi. The area I'm a little underwhelmed with is the service. I ordered the chef's nigiri, a roll, and clam miso. I don't know if my server just wasn't really paying attention or because I was a solo diner she wanted to get my total up a bit but she didn't tell me that the chef's nigiri came with miso already and she even said it was her mistake but charged me for the clam miso instead of adjusting it for the clam upgrade. I've never been here before and was really excited to try it out, so I had no idea of portion sizes. After I received my food, I realized it was too much for one sitting. The server then said, "Yeah, I thought you were just really hungry." I think for the future, it's helpful to let people know that miso already comes with certain orders and that there's the potential to upgrade before they get their food and what the portion sizes are. I don't think sushi tastes good the next day, but it was too much to eat at once. Had I known, I would have ordered less. I don't know if my server was just a little absent-minded or not really present, but I definitely would have had a better experience if my server had been a little more informative.

Food is excellent; service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. A higher priced place but definitely worth it for special occasions! Highly recommend! Note it's highly recommended to have a reservation, otherwise you may not get a table. Parking is pretty limited out front but has more in the back if you go up Bunker Hill Street about a half block and turn in towards the restaurant ( the direction depends upon where you're coming from).

Food was decent and tasted good but I found a 2cm bone in my salmon Nigiri. Dinner mood was ruined after almost getting hurt. Mentioned it to the server and got a short apology. Prob wouldn't care to come back again for this price point. Seems like a super popular place though

WOW! What an amazing experience. We sat at the sushi bar and ordered the Omakase. We were in Tokyo last year and this place is as close as we found to Japan quality fish and experience. Now I know why you need a reservation here!

This is a busy neighborhood Japanese style restaurant. It has a sushi bar and dining room. The menu is extensive with many of the favorites for sashimi, sushi, and cooked Japanese dishes. The fishes tasted fresh, tasty, and well prepared. We had a good experience here.

The best grilled yellowtail (hamachi kama) I ever had. The sushi and everything else are good too! They also provide gluten free sauce and separate all sushi between GF and non-GF in two plates for us - very considerable.
