This restaurant offers a wide variety of options for someone avoiding dairy, which I really appreciated. The food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, though I wasn’t impressed with my latte. Overall, it’s a great spot for a tasty, dairy-free, vegetarian, or vegan meal.

Three of us ordered the Swami Salad. We all agreed it was a boring salad with a flavorless dressing. After leaving, my friend checked the menu. Our salads were missing avocado, broccoli, raisins, and bell pepper. No wonder it was boring!

I was so excited to know that we have a Swami's right down the street. I used to live next to one in La Mesa. and frequented daily. I've had some of the best sandwiches.

On a walk with my dog one summer day, I decided to grab one of their smoothies which I haven't had before. Order a PB Coffee smoothie....and OH YES!! It blew my mind. Such amazing flavors. Well balanced between coffee, peanut butter, and cream. It was heaven sent. Everyone needs this in their life.

Few mornings later, I came back to order the same. This time it looked very different, lighter in color and missing that sparkle. Definitely was not the same. Lacking the bold taste of Coffee and peanut butter. Just cold Blended milk. Must say that I didn't give up, but I'm writing this because it's now the 4th time and it's gotten to me. Big fan of Swamis since 2008. May this be helpful for someone, I hopefully will update this post soon.

Update: After having the peanut butter coffee smoothie from La Mesa and North park it has come to my attention that someone made a big mistake. The very first order I had from the Hillcrest location had a peanut butter smoothie that blew my mind. The 4 other smoothies after that was not up to par with the first. It's a shame that I did not have photo evidence Of the amazing creation mistakenly made. I swear that would be the hit smoothie of San Diego.

I ordered the steak Benedict. It should have been called the gristle benedict. (BECAUSE IT HAD A LOT OF GRISTLE) I also had to get my own coffee like some sort of savage.

It’s a wonderful place for delicious brunch, tasty drinks, and perfect for ignoring your gf/bf in public.

But for real though, had a great experience here. And my kids loved the pancakes.

My family member was raving about this place, absolutely dying to stop here. It was average. I wouldn't crave anything from here or choose to stop here willingly. I tried different burgers, chilequiles, waffles, guac and chips, a smoothie..they were all just ok. Nothing special. Not somewhere you would absolutely need to stop and try.

This is a great breakfast location. The food came out quick and tasted very fresh. Breakfast included a number of burritos, omelets, waffles, pancakes, smoothies, and Mimosas. There is both inside and outside seating. Dogs are welcome. Good location for families or bigger parties that want separate checks. Great service!

We found this place on our way to another brunch place, and we decided to give it a try. There were no crazy wait times, and they have a big menu. Our food came out fairly quickly, and everything was good. I ordered the Benedicts with a Mexican mocha. While we were eating, a couple decided to sit on the table next to ours, which was dirty having just been vacated. The guy proceeded to yell at the waitress to clean the table like it was her fault he decided to pick the only dirty table, having plenty of other tables open. The waitresses took care of it very professionally and even apologized. There was just one person bringing the food to the tables, and she was awesome, making sure all orders were correct, both the to go orders and dine in orders. I would recommend this place to anyone who, like me, was told to wait an hour and a half to have some breakfast elsewhere.
