I stopped on one day not expecting much because I've not liked the places I've tried since moving here. I tried their birria tacos. Omg. They were the best I've had and I've tried a lot. They were incredible and now I go out of my way to get them when I need happiness lol 10/10 at least for that. Also they partner with fetch so if you use them you get hella points back

Had an awesome experience at Tacaliente Mexican Grill! The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out fast—but what really stood out was the service. Tony went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Super friendly, helpful with recommendations, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Great spot with great people!

Tacaliente Mexican Grill has some great bean and cheese burritos to be eaten. For me, nothing beats a great bean and cheese burrito 🌯 and if that's your thing like it is for me, I recommend you check them out! The restaurant is very clean and I got my order within 5 minutes of ordering it! I actually saw the cook making it as I ordered it! Talk about fast service!

Great little Mexican place to stop by on the way to the Zoo. We really enjoyed the Carne Asada burrito! Matthew at the front desk was great fun to talk to and entertained all my son's (many many (many)) questions!

We stopped by for tacos on our way to the San Diego Zoo and it was about a five minute drive from there. As soon as we walked in we were greeted. We felt very welcomed and our food was ready in less than 10 minutes! The food was delicious, I just wish I wouldve tried more of the sauces.

As a San Diego native, I’ve had my fair share of tacos, burritos, and everything in between—and I can confidently say Tacaliente is hands-down the best Mexican restaurant in San Diego.

Located in a convenient spot and offering a perfect blend of hole-in-the-wall authenticity and modern comfort, Tacaliente delivers everything you want in a true Mexican food experience. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, the flavors are rich and satisfying, and you can taste the love in every bite.

The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, with a friendly staff that treats you like family. Whether you’re a local looking for your new go-to taco shop or a visitor searching for authentic Mexican food in San Diego, Tacaliente is an absolute must-try.

From quick to-go orders to sit-down meals, this spot hits the mark every time. Don’t miss out—Tacaliente is what real San Diego Mexican food is all about.

Amazing happy hours deals with draft beer and the fish tacos only 2.50 Soo delicious. But the customer service is out of this world. Friendliest taco spot ever!! I'll be back very soon!

Birria Ramen is delicious and perfectly cooked chewy noodles. Everything else is overpriced.
