Flavors are good, people are friendly, burritos don't have enough meat.

Mmmm very yummy Mexican fusion! Cool paintings on the walls. Friendly staff. Great salsa options, orange (habenero?) , verde, creamy avocado/guac. A little pricey but worth it if you're really hungry and looking for freshly made comfort/hangover food. Hip Hop playlist from Tupac to Kendrick to Akon in the background. Paid $37 for two people and no complimentary chips and salsa. Other than that it was alright. Did I mention the salsa?

If this was in PB it would have lines down the block. I've had the fish tacos 🌮 several times! Happy hour ,they are 2 for 5$! They are delicious and fresh! I like much better than Rubio's. The lovely staff ( There was a sweet Argentinian girl today) are REALLY nice. All of them. I love this place! Parking is easy for Hillcrest.

I came into town for Conference and my wife wanted some Mexican food. Someone recommended Tacaliente restaurant. E inverted there and the girl at the counter was very little help. She was more focused on her phone that giving customer service. When we finally got food, chimichanga, they were the worse I have ever had. My wife and I were very disappointed.

December 2024: got a pollo asado burrito, added cheese & it was awesome

Asked if I could use their restroom and they said I would have to order something first. Which is fine, definitely not something I have a problem with. I did ask if I could order after I use their restroom. I didn't want my food to be ready and get cold while I was using the restroom. When I told them that they still said no. but they did say they could make my order after I'm done using the restroom. A minor inconvenience but I chose to comply and ordered before using the restroom. After I was done, they did wait for me to start my order. I ordered 2 churros for $6. When I got my order though the churros were very stiff and hard, almost like they were overcooked, and it hurt my teeth to bite into them. When I returned my order back and told them the churros were hard they agreed to make me a new order of churros. The second time though, the churros were cold on the inside. Like freezer temperature cold and the outside still was pretty stiff. Not as stiff as the first order but still, almost stale consistency. After being unsatisfied twice, I returned the second order and asked if I could get a refund. She did ask I wanted to order something else instead but I told her no I rather have my money back. Which then she didn't say anything and started pushing buttons on the register for a couple minutes (which I just assumed she was issuing a refund into the register, but I don't even know now what she was doing). After a few minutes go by of her pressing buttons on the register she then said no she could still not give me a refund and she could only offer me something different to order from the menu. I did not want to chance getting a third order I didn't like so I told her no and returned my second order. Reluctantly, I just let a random stranger order something from the menu instead. Very disappointed overall. I pretty much paid them $7 to use a restroom. Haha

O people and menu monitors off should have been an indication to turn around and leave but was hungry so tried burritos. Yuck, tough tasteless meat, ask for beans on burrito and had to pay extra for them and got zero beans. 🤬
Would not recommend unless starving. Out the door was $70.00 🤯🤬

Honestly...... horrible service.
First time i ever got food poisoning (shredded beef) there's more but let me just hope others notice this .

Got into town late and very hungry. Saw on Google maps (and confirmed on website) that this place was open until midnight on a Sunday and decided to walk over. Arrived at 11:35 to find the door locked and the staff closing out the register.
A place of business should honor their hours. I gladly spent my money at the taco shop across the street instead.
