We had good service and it was quiet (we were the only ones there). The sushi was ok. I felt it was over priced for the quality. The menu was quite small for a sushi restaurant. We had the spicy edamame to start and didn't like it much. They used dry seasoning which didn't have a great flavor.

Real crab and not imitation crab on the rolls? Yes, you heard that right! Tachido Sushi has a unique mix of flavors that drives your taste buds crazy. You can tell they take pride in serving fresh ingredients and unique dishes all while providing exceptional customer service. They also have a variety of Japanese beer and Sake. A must try for your next sushi gathering! A++

I don't recommend it at all, it doesn't taste like San Diego roll, don't order it.

The food was great but the customer service was not good. The Hispanic man who greeted us was not in a good mood, he was rude from the moment we arrived, and made us not want to come back. He sat us down and didn't bring menus or take our drink order until 15 minutes later and that was because we asked him for it. We had to again ask him if he could take our order because he wasn't. We ordered our drinks and my drink didn't come to the table until I was practically done with my meal and that was because again he brought it up to him that we were still missing our drink. We clearly put it on the reservation that we were celebrating a 25th birthday. At the end of our meal he brought the check and we reminded him that we were celebrating a birthday and he said we're short staffed we won't be able to bring anything to the table. It's a bummer because the food is great but they need someone that has good customer service, manners, and looks like they want to be there working. His attitude that night makes us never want to come back.

If you're a sushi lover, I highly recommend this place. Everything was fantastic! No complaints at all. The pic shows coconut shrimp, dumplings, and a few rolls. The one to the right is called "619" All good!

We had planned to celebrate our friend’s birthday at another sushi restaurant. But, when we got there they were short staffed and couldn’t accommodate our table of 8… so, we headed to the nearest place that had enough space for us. Little did we know, this unknown spot would be PERFECT!We were initially skeptical of the creative menu, but when the food arrived. Wow! ? We have new favorite spot! We loved the locally inspired twists! The East meets West at the beach flavors were so fresh! Also, the miso butter! The side of mushrooms in miso butter! Could not get enough of it!Oysters were fresh and sweet! The cuts of fish were perfect! The themed rolls, the Dinamita Roll was my fave! Fun and yummy! We loved the Tuna Tartare and their unique twist on the seaweed salad. The hamachi agua chile was on point!!! The shiitake mushroom miso soup was on point for a cold rainy night! All in all, it was a delightful venue to celebrate our friend, and we will be back for in the future!Seriously, the mushrooms. They were so fresh!

Atmosphere was fine. Food, not so much. First, their website advertises happy hour from 4-6. I walked in at 520 and asked for it and they said they don't have happy hour anymore. (After I showed them the web ad they honored the happy hour price for the app I ordered. Plus 1) I ordered the pan fried dumplings. They weren't pan fried, they were deep fried. (Minus 1) I ordered salmon and hamachi nigiri. They served me salmon and maguro nigiri. (Minus 2) I sent it back and asked for what I ordered and the chef remade it. Then the waiter apologized to me for writing down the wrong thing. But, here's is the key point, the salmon was ok (but no better than that) and the himachi was very mediocre. (Minus 3,4 and 5). If you can't get the sushi right there will be no second visit from me. (Too bad, it's close to where I live.)

I've walked by this place so many times and finally gave it a try. The ambience is sooo cute and modern and the vibe is extremely trendy/vibey for a hip date night. I came for lunch by myself and got the tachido roll and a salmon nigiri. The roll was super fresh and had so much flavor! I'm always looking for unique rolls and this one hit the spot. I'm a sucker for micro cilantro on top of rolls and the lime juice on top made it taste so fresh! I will definitely be back!

I've seen this place from the outside and it always caught my eye especially since I love sushi. We were able to walk in and sit at the bar. The place is very small but the atmosphere is very boutique and hip. I loved how they played old school hiphop and rnb. The waiter was really nice. The food though.... Come here to hang out and drink and laugh. But don't come for the sushi. It's alright: It wasn't horrible but I am a huge sushi fan and I just wasn't impressed. The fried rice was bomb though. Dumplings were aight. We got the fuego roll and dynamite roll....very mediocre. I also noticed the the crab inside (not sure if it was imitation crab) but it had a pasty texture it threw me off. I think that's why I didn't like it. Tasted very dry: The rolls are also cut very big. I like my sushi thinly sliced. Anyways if you're in the neighborhood it's a vibe but I wouldn't go out of my way.

We dined on a Sunday night and were a little reluctant to enter at first because there were few people in the restaurant. It was early evening on a Sunday so that could have been the reason. Anyway, from the time we sat down, the waiter was great, gave us good recommendations and the food was fantastic. Everything we ordered was delicious. Our favorite was the Chatto roll. The food was fresh, the rolls were large and easily shared. We had a great experience!

Overpriced. Waited a very long time for our sushi. Place has potential, but definitely waited a lot more than expected for food to come out.

I hate to leave less than stellar review on places, just because I know how hard the food industry can be from personal experiences — but I hope the owners and staff see and act on this feedback.Service was extremely slow, even before we got seated. We waited for someone to acknowledge us for about 10 minutes before we were able to actually talk to someone. Once we were seated, we ordered pretty quickly, but proceeded to wait well over 45 minutes for our appetizers and entrees. This would’ve been fine if the food was worth it, but it wasn’t. This feels extra disappointing given the exorbitant prices. I would’ve rather gone to an all you can eat sushi place, where I know I’m getting what I paid for.Even after all of this, it would’ve been fine if our waiter was attentive…but they weren’t. They seemed to actively avoid us, didn’t apologize, and didn’t comp us anything.I will not be returning.

Too expensive for the service to have been so slow. It's really, really slow.
