I really like this place's food. It almost always tastes great and is a much better value than the 5 other Mexican places nearby.Unfortunately, none of that matters. While eating my burrito, I put some of the remaining lettuce and guacamole that was on the 3 rolled tacos into the burrito. After a few bites, I bit into what I thought was a bone. It was a wooden toothpick, likely one used to hold the rolled taco together while frying. This is a potentially dangerous mistake and inexcusable.

We LOVE this place! We've been going to it for years -- the beans are delish, and the tortillas are fresh. The current staff is great, and waits are minimal. 5 stars!!

This has been one of our go-to drive-throughs since highschool- food is good and wait time is reasonable.

I have to admit that I was extremely disappointed with this restaurant. The lady that took our order was friendly and polite. Like she made us smile. The place is a little run down but usually those are the hidden gems. Well this was no hidden gem. The food that we received was cold. The cheese didn't even melt. The flavors were bland at best. We ordered chicken chimichanga, carne Asada burrito, carne Asada fries, Cheese enchilada, and a mixed burrito...all went in the trash. Even the drinks (pina, mango and guava) were watered down..straight to the trash. I hate to say it but I don't know how this place is still open. I wish the food was a good and the service the lady provided but it was a hard no go. A complete waste of $66.

NEVER EVER coming to this taco shop again!!!??? I had to throw it. This is disgusting and unnaceptable the fact that the mosquito or moth was still moving too!!! I had to throw it all up ??my husband threw away his torta too because we cannot trust this place. Instead of offering a refund they said they can “remake it” but I don’t even want to eat anything from here anymore! I don’t trust them staying away for good…SMH. Poor customer service

As a native San Diegan, I've never been more disappointed in a taco shop in my entire life. I don't know where to begin with all of the ways that this place dropped the ball... First, I ordered the 3 tacos & a side, and I was given 3 rolled tacos with no side. Then, I asked for red & green salsa twice, but I was only given red. Next, I ordered a side of rice and a side of beans, but I was given only a few spoons of each in the well of a styrofoam plate. The rice was undercooked and was crunchy, and the beans were probably the most bland refried beans that I've ever tasted. How do you screw up refried beans!? The Asada Deluxe Quesadillia was anything but deluxe... What made this deluxe? It was a few strips of meat and some cheese in a burned stale tortilla. In fact, the Carne Asada Fries was probably the weakest rendition I have ever seen. Sadly, the fries were small McDonald's type shoestring fries, the cheese seemingly consisted of melted clumps of cheddar, and the carne asada was not chopped enough. Just imagine McDonald's fries with clumps of cheese and strips of beef on top. Nothing more, nothing less... We are blessed to live in a city where there is a taco shop on every corner, so I won't be back until they step up their game to measure up to the competition here in San Diego, and take their craft a little more seriously. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like this place might be under new ownership, because the reviews were better in the past. I gave them 2 stars instead of only 1 star, because there might still be hope for them to restore their glory if they're willing to listen to their customers.

Ordered a Chile Relleno and to my surprise. undercooked with the entire core and seeds of the Chile still intact. decided to give them a call and was notified that they would reimburse. went back and the cook was very rude and fowl. stated he wouldn't refund it after they had agreed they would.

Food is usually great, especially the salsa. Unfortunately I've had to move on due to the price increases and food shrinkage.
