Trust these Google Reviews. I didn't think it could be that bad so I tried it. I got an asada burrito. The flavor seemed off, I couldn't figure out what it was about it. The Beef was tough and full of fat. I had to squeeze down on my burrito to get the beef to separate. It was a good sized burrito though. I asked if they had chips and queso. After asking the cook, she said "Yes". I was delivered nachos chips with sparse cheese sprinkled over the top and heated in the oven for 5.99. Overall it was lesson learned. I should have trusted the google reviews. They'll never see me again.

The man who works here, smokes cigarettes in the patio where people eat and it's quite disgusting. Then with out washing his hands he goes on preparing coffees that don't taste good either.

The place is now called Casa Taco, and too many times they've messed up my order. Stick with Lucy's a couple blocks down on C St.

The best Californian Burrito I've ever had!!

I tried the carne asada torta and surf and turf burrito! They were both so good and had so much flavor. The burrito was loaded with shrimp! One of the best surf and turf burritos in San Diego!! It's located right next to the court house. Outside & indoor seating

This business is owned by a real degenerate. He's a big thief and sells unclean food. This business represents the filth of the Earth. The food is at best, Restaurant Depot frozen goods and at worst reheated food that was served at another local taco shop.

I'm from Encinitas where there are plenty of solid choices for Mexican food, but once I moved Downtown I had a hard time finding quality for a good price. When I found this place (formerly El Maguey de Cotija) I was shocked at how big the burritos were for still a decent price ($7-8). I was bummed when they moved locations but I'm hoping for nothing but success for them. They're doing it the right way

Heard about this place so I decided to go there. I was recommended to try the chicken fajitas. It was one of the tastiest fajitas I've ever had. Large portion and very reasonably priced. I will definitely go back to try other items on the menu.

Ordered 5 rolled tacos and a large burrito. Was given two small packets of hot sauce to enjoy. Head over to Lucys instead where they're generous with their hot sauce.

Not a bad option for Mexican food at the courthouse. Tacos were pretty decent and the pricing was fair (under $10 if I remember). They had a pretty full menu of items to order from. Tacos, burritos, combo plates, etc. They probably do good business when jurors are coming through albeit it's been slow lately because of the whole pandemic.

Tacos so good wish it was in my neighborhood

The place is terrible, the food is bad and the managers don't worry about serving well. It is Mexican food, there must be unlimited sauce. TERRIBLE

it was bad before, now it's terrible. Smaller portions, bland- unseasoned meat, rude loud cashier.

Nope never again my burrito was hella greasy. Greasy all on the bottom of the plate. I only gave a star because I had to i wouldn't recommend this taco shop to no one. Great location but not great food and thats just my opinion.
