The fish tacos were delcious!! I loved the mahi mahi, and my husband loved the snapper. They were grilled to perfection and were large portions! The cabbage and tomatoes with the white sauce added the perfect flavor for these fish tacos. The California burrito was super tasty as well. I'm glad Oscars was closed, so we were able to try these delicious tacos! I will definitely be returning!

Vegetarian options: The location has a build your own breakfast burrito option, and they give you TWO extra ingredients if you go no meat. This makes this location a significantly better location for vegetarian visitors

Don’t understand how this place has such high reviews. The burrito I got was $17 and one of the worst burritos I’ve ever had. First of all, it was a California burrito with no french fries/hash brown. The chicken was horridly bland. Could barely taste the guac, and pretty sure there was no sour cream like I asked for. There was liquid probably from the chicken that soaked the bottom of the burrito and the tray, it was leaking out and disgusting. An incredibly disappointing experience in San Diego of all places, I’ve had burritos a million times better in Missouri. Don’t waste your time or money here.

Taco Surf PB has the perfect vibe for a restaurant near the beach. Surf pictures and boards cover the ceilings and walls, and the service is fantastic. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and gave helpful recommendations.
I had the five rolled tacos (beef), and it was good, but then I had a bite of my wife's surf & turf burrito, and it's on a whole other level. Honestly, don't waste time on anything else. The surf & turf burrito is dream-worthy, and I was filled with regret about my own order. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back.

My cousin heard that had great fish tacos so we went to check it out. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We ordered a burrito, tacos (fish and shrimp) and a carne asada plate. My tacos fell apart so I had to use a knife and fork to eat it. Overall, it’s ok but not the best.

Best California burrito! Only place in San Diego where you can add sautéed mushrooms in the burrito and it's FANTASTIC! I've been going here for over 15 years... Still as good as it was then.
Edit years later they updated the sitting area, but still kept the feel and great menu.

The beef taquitos with guacamole were awesome, the California burrito was good, no potato, the fish taco was good, the beef tamale was terrible, dry old tasting,no flavor. I would have complained in person but it was very busy.
