Hello everyone,This was my first time eating at Taco Surf. It was a good experience. I would have appreciated just a little more patience from the cashier...especially since this was my first time eating there and I let him know (there was not many people in the restaurant or behind me to have given a few minutes to explain). Overall great food, reasonable prices. I plan to return in the summer.

The place meets what you expect, Mexican food in the USA, it is not the eighth wonder but it has good flavor. We ordered a burrito which was very good and a chicken tortilla soup which was much bigger than we expected. Cheap, very cheap. It's self-service, you order and pay at the bar and they bring it to you

The crunchiest tacos I’ve ever had, I will add them to the things I crave for sure. Cute, tiny spot with a really chill vibe. I had the potato tacos and am thrilled they had those as a veggie option. I typically have to create something at places like this sometimes but this was pleasant. They have a few tables outside, wish they had more. Salsa is so tasty. Very close to the beach, we walked through town which was fun.Vegetarian options: Potato tacos and I think a veggie burrito.

We wanted to try a classic California burrito while in town, and this place blew our minds! We loved our burritos so much that we came back again the next day. Food was fresh and delicious; staff was super kind; and the atmosphere was very laid back and cozy. What a town gem!

Huge tacos and burritos! Love the California Burrito and how they use crispy hash brown rather than the soggy french fries like other places.

This was one of the worst taco restaurants I’ve ever eaten at. The tacos were bare and flavorless. I honestly don’t understand what this place has 4.6 stars. The agua de Jamaica tasted like nothing and the surf and turf burrito shrimp tasted like it had sat in a fridge for days. Please don’t go here the awards on the walls and rating are so misleading.

Surf Taco is straight-up a game-changer, no joke. The place slaps harder than a rogue wave on a windy day. Let's dive into the real MVPs of their menu: the tortilla soup and those killer tacos.First off, the tortilla soup is legit the best I've ever had. It's like they figured out how to bottle up comfort and warmth, then poured it into a bowl. Every spoonful hits you with this spicy, hearty goodness that's just unmatched. It's the kind of soup that makes you forget about all the other soups out there. Now, onto the main event: the tacos. The pork taco is a straight-up flavor bomb. It's like every bite is a mix of tender, juicy pork with just the right amount of kick and freshness from the toppings, all cradled in a tortilla that's doing everything right. It's the kind of taco you dream about after a night out.The beef taco doesn't play second fiddle, either. It's got this rich, beefy goodness that's seasoned to perfection, with a little bit of everything in each bite. The beef is so good, it almost feels wrong to call it just a taco. It's like a tribute to all things awesome about tacos, wrapped up and ready to rock your world. In short, Surf Taco isn't just good, it's insanely good. Whether it's the soul-hugging tortilla soup or the mind-blowing tacos, this place doesn't just serve food; it serves up experiences that'll keep you coming back for more. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.

This place has the best breakfast burritos! Every time we are in Pacific Beach we come to this spot!

Fantastic as always! Been going here for more than 25 years and it's great! The salsa is amazing and the dishes are flavorful. Sam and his family and team have been running that place great and it shows! Just enjoy it! Beef taco special and a quesadilla will fill you up and leave some leftovers!

Pretty good place for a good meal. Both our meals needed a bit more seasoning but otherwise were good. Quick service, helpful even though we hadn't been there before and needed help with the menu.

My $8+ fried single fish taco was overfried, overpriced and cold.
